When the driver pulled over we made it to the one housing plan, if I'm right my old house would be two roads over. Colson got out and I quickly grabbed money to tip the driver and followed. Colson grabbed his wallet and I took it from him

"Free ride". I said and put his wallet in my purse.

"Luna". He spoke sternly.

"Shut it". I giggled and grabbed his hand.

We walked for a bit and when we got to my old street I paused.

"Is this it"? Colson asked.

I nodded. "I used to catch a bus here for school". I smiled, letting the memories flooded back. "Over there my old friend Bethany fell and broke her nose, we were high". I laughed.

I continued down the small sidewalk. It's like nothing has changed.

"Over there is the park where I had my first kiss. Believe it or not it was Alex". I laughed.

"So Alex got action before I did"? He asked and rubbed my hand.

"It was before I found out he was gay. I thought I lost him as a friend that night. after that I never made the first move". I whispered.

"What about this"? Colson asked.

I turned to look at and smiled. On the little bench sitting by the bus stop were the names we carved into the bench. Me, Alex and Nicholas. The night we graduated highschool. I left him at the bench and walked over to the little park and I chose to sit on one of the swings. Colson came over to me and stood behind me.

"I used to come here all the time with my dad. Everytime my mom would have an episode or was just in a bad mood, he would walk me down and push me on the swing. Telling me everything would be okay". I whispered the last part.

"When did your mom get diagnosed"? He asked, slowly pushing me on the swing.

"I was still in highschool and I remember that because I was getting ready for prom. She came home from the store in a panic, she kept looking out and telling me to lock things up because she was scared. When I asked her what happened she lied at first and said she was just joking around so i left for the night with Dylan and a group of friends. I got home that night and walked in on her and my dad fighting. She hit him so hard that he got a broken jaw". I sighed.

Colson squeezed my shoulders lightly as he stopped swinging me.

"Then a few months after that i was at work and I got a call from one of the clinics downtown. They told she walked in demanding pain medication because of her sick daughter".

I turned to look at Colson as he looked down at the ground.

"They did some observations and for the testing part of it, she failed. They gave her CT scans and everything to check her brain. That's when we found out she was headed to a dark place".

"Was it schizophrenia"? He asked, now turning to look at me.

"It was a mixture of things. What I didn't know was she was abusing pills and other medications at the time so they didn't rule it out to be that. So they put her on a treatment plan and sent her home. We had alot going on because my dad was sick also, he had type 2 diabetes and suffered with it".

"We don't need to talk about it. If you don't want to". He whispered and I shook my head.

"Its not that. I'm fine talking about it, I just never told anybody this other then Alex". I answered.

Colson nodded.

"When I was 19 my dad was hospitalized. The diabetes got so bad because he never took his medication. His organs started failing. So to cope, my mom started abusing the pills again, leaving me to handle everything".

"When did he pass"? He asked me. I suddenly had that burning in my chest like I did back then.

"I was twenty one. I was out at the bar for my birthday with Alex and my aunt called me. He passed that night".

Colson was now standing in front of me and knelt down.

"I'm sorry angel". He whispered.

"When I put my mom in the home, I moved in with Alex and then I met you, so its not to bad". I smiled.

Colson got up and sat on the swing next to me and grabbed my hand.

"I was such an asshole when we first met". He sighed. "I didn't know how much you were actually going though".

I shook my head. "You didn't know and you weren't an asshole. I just assumed you were".

Colson sighed and looked up at the stars before turning to me.

"When I lost my dad, I wasn't even there. I was on tour and staying with my ex girlfriend at the time. I told the hospital to call me and they called the day he was dying. All I got was his last breath". He whispered.

I squeezed his hand. Broken parts make a full home.

"What about your mom? Are you in contact"? I asked.

He shook his head. "No. She tries to call Casey every now and again but Emma gets weird about it. Part of me wants Casey to have her grandmother but I need my mom first before that". He said.

I agreed. The way Colson's heart is so big and inviting when it comes to Casey makes me feel warm inside. It makes me think of this baby.

"I think we have things pretty well patted down don't you think"? He asked.

"We do."

I wasn't sure if it was all of the newer emotions or the morning sickness but I wanted to leave now. I stood up and reached for his hand and he took it, we soon were walking back to the end of the street.

"I have Pete coming for us. He's almost here". Colson said.

I put my finger up and walked over to the bushes next to us and hunched over to throw up. Colson was next to me in seconds, holding my hair.

"Just keep picturing how you'll feel once this is over with". He chuckled.

When I wiped my mouth and stood up I nodded and took a deep breath. Just then Pete drove up. Colson grabbed my hand and lead me to the car as Pete got out and offered for Colson to drive but he shook his head. He slid in the backseat with me and that's when Pete drove off.
