We pull up the wreck and kie says

as we are getting out I remember my mum is supposed to be working today hopefully she went in but I doubt she did she's probably on the sofa passed out from the drugs I kinda understand tho cause my mum and my dad was high school lovers even tho they broke up because she was apparently cheating even tho she denies it that's still hard cause I know she loved him more than anything...
"What I would do to a beer and shrimp and girlls right now" jj says while he gets out snapping me out of my thoughts and getting out too
"It would not be pretty" pope says making me chuckle
me and kie walk over to her dad as the boys stay at the door
"what's up mike" I say as he looks over to me
"hey hales u doing good, your mum didn't show up she hasn't in a week" he says to me
"I'm okay and shit I didn't know she wasn't in all week I know about today and I'll explain that to you but the other days I have no clue Mike" I say as he nods
"hey dad" kie says walking over
"how'd we do?" She adds
"didn't turn it over once" he replies
"It's probably just bad lucky because of the storm" she says hugging him making me sigh at the sight kie is lucky what I would do to have a family like hers...
"Yeah I'll be sure to tell the banks that"
"Guess now is not the best time to ask for free food for me and my friends?" She says
"look at them, they are greedy pelicans thought I told you to stop hanging out with these guys" Mike says
"Well everybody hates me at kook academy dad plus I hang out with haley u love Haley and u never see hales without her boys so your gonna have to get use to it dad"
"But u never gave them a chance at kook academy" kie says
"I did give them a chance and they got all stuck up on me I mean they care more about shoes then surfing what am I supposed to do with that?" She says as I walk over next to her she puts her arm around my shoulder
"These are my friends" she says as we all look over to the boys and the do awkward waves making us laugh
"Look well I gotta throw it out so might as well take it" he says making me and kie jump up hugging him
"Thank you" kie says
"Thank u Mike love ya" i say
"Your welcome love you too Hales I'll bring it out" he says back as I look over to the boys
"Sit down baby" I say as they all smile racing over to the tables and me and kie join them
We are all eating like pigs and jhon b aims at me a chip
"Hales catch" he says as I open my mouth catching the fry
"Oh yeah look at that I'm to skilled" i say
"also hales isn't ur mum supposed to be working" he says to me
"Yeah she's not well she will be back tmr probably" I say and jhon b nods
"hales can we talk" I hear Mike shout behind me
