AU'RAIS POV "Fine" I said to Neteyam when he asked me to have a talk. In all honesty I really don't want to, I have nothing more to say to him. I mean he cheated on me with my sister, what's left to say? Luckily for me I have someone who will always save me.
"Babe!" I turned my head and saw Lo'ak coming towards us with a huge smile on his face. I smiled back at him and walked towards him. When we reached each other I wrapped my arms around his neck as he placed his hands on my waist and we softly kissed. Right in front of Neteyam.
Once we pulled away Lo'ak spoke.
"Wow you look beautiful ma yawne!" He said as he made me do a little twirl. Lo'ak is so good at this game we play with Neteyam, he always overdoes it and it makes Neteyam so much more mad.
"Lo'ak if you don't mind, Au'rai and I were going to have a talk" Neteyam said breaking up our moment. I turned to look at Neteyam, Lo'ak pulled me in closer to him by my waist and gave Neteyam a threatening look.
"Anything you have to say to my future mate you can say to me"
"Au'rai please-"
"No" I said cutting him off "Lo'ak is right. He is to be my future mate if you need to say anything to me he should be allowed to hear too"
Neteyam just stood there quietly, lowering his ears. Watching the sadness take over him broke something inside of me. I'm going to ignore it though because he deserves to feel that way, for now at least. As me and Lo'ak walked towards the crowd together my favorite song started to be played by the people of the clan.
"Come Lo'ak!" I said pulling his hand and running towards the dance floor. Before I reached it Lo'ak stopped running and it caused me to stop abruptly.
"Au'rai I can't!" He laughed
"What? Why not?!"
"I don't know how to dance!" He exclaimed with a bright smile to which I just rolled my eyes.
"It is easy Lo'ak! Come I will teach you!"
He reluctantly nodded his head as he followed me to the dance floor. I started swaying my hips to the beat of the music. He stood at the edge of the dance floor and watched me. The light of the fire illuminated his face beautifully.
LO'AKS POV When we reached the dance floor Au'rai began to dance. This is one of the instances where I've seen Au'rai in a different way. She looks so beautiful and free when she dances. I don't have feelings for her, I know that much, but she's the type of girl that is only born once every hundred years. She's unique.
As she swayed her hips and moved her legs and arms she looked like a butterfly. A butterfly is a creature that doesn't exist here on Pandora, but on Earth where my father comes from. Norm had showed me a picture of one once when we lived back home. They have beautiful wings and they fly gracefully, exactly like how Au'rai looks right now.
She came to me and grabbed my hand dragging me to the dance floor. I tried to walk away but she didn't allow me to.
"You must dance with me!" She laughed
I looked around to make sure not many people were watching and to my surprise many people were, they were looking at us. Au'rai and I. But they aren't looking at us like they usually do, no, this is different. They are looking at us with smiles on their face. This gave me the confidence to dance with the gorgeous girl in front of me.
I twirled her and we both moved almost in sync as we followed the music. I messed up only a few times but she didn't mind, she never minds when I make a mistake. While we danced I saw my mother and Ronal stand next to each other watching us, they both turned to each other and smiled.
NETEYAMS POV I'm not usually the type of guy that gets jealous, it's just not who I am. I especially don't get jealous of my baby brother but in this case I think I have very right to be. He's dancing with my girl, my Au'rai. While I looked at the both of them I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see Tsireya.
"Jealous?" She asked
"Yes, you?"
"Very"
"Tsireya we have to stop this. If we let it go on any longer they will end up mating and they'll only be doing it in spite of us"
"What do you have in mind?" She asked
"I think I know who can help us, come on!"
AONUNGS POV "Bro stay away from her!" Rotxo said shoving me
"Guys come on let's just have fun!" Kiri exclaimed
"Me? You're the one who can't get a clue! Kiri is with me!"
"No she likes me more!" Rotxo said
"Kiri tell him!" I said facing her.
"Kiri tell him you like me so he'll go away" Rotxo said also turning to face her.
"I-I like-"
"Hey!"
We all turned to see Tsireya and Neteyam running towards us.
"Good job skxawngs Kiri was about to confess her love for me and you guys interrupted" I said rolling my eyes.
"We need your help" Tsireya said
"With?" Rotxo asked
"That" Neteyam pointed to my sister Au'rai and Lo'ak dancing together. Much too close for my liking might I add.
"Why should we help you guys?" Kiri said crossing her arms. I decided to agree with her to get on her good side.
"Yeah didn't you guys cheat on them with each other?" I said also crossing my arms.
"Guys please!" Neteyam pleaded
"We all know they aren't meant to be with each other!" Tsireya added. Rotxo, Kiri, and I looked at each other and we all came to an agreement.
"What do we have to do?"
"Kiri take Au'rai, Aonung and Rotxo you guys have Lo'ak"
I hope you guys don't mind that there will be a part 2 to do this chapter. I know this one wasn't very good but it's just a filler to set up the next thing. Any predictions to what is going to happen?
