AU'RAIS POV
I held a basket full of fruit in my hands as I walked towards my family's hut. I hummed a happy tune since today was actually not bad at all. I started my day off doing some chores around the clan with the help of Lo'ak, swam for a while, snuck in some cuddling with Neteyam, and finished it off picking fruits with Kiri. Days not over yet though, still a few hours til eclipse.

As I walked closer to the hut though I heard my mothers angry voice. I walked to the entrance and saw her talking to Tsireya, Aonung was also in the room. My mothers back was turned to me.

"But mother I do not wish to-"

"Your wishes do not matter Tsireya, not anymore. Nothing is being called off, you and Neteyam will become a mated pair in three months" My mother said interrupting Tsireya. She then turned her attention to my brother. "And you" Aonung looked at her coldly. "You need to figure this out!"

"Mother I can't force her to mate with me!" Aonung began to raise his voice but my mother was quick to silence him.

"You are in too deep now Aonung! Do you not think the villagers notice that she's become closer to Rotxo? I've talked to your aunt about it, but she doesn't seem to understand."

"Why does it matter so much, mother? We can just call it off, I don't want Kiri to be unhappy." Aonung stated.

"No, I refuse to have the clan talking about my family, you are the future Olo'eyktan Aonung! If we call this off now it will not be forgotten, ever."

I stepped into the hut and everyone's attention turned to me, including my mothers.

"Kaltxi" I greeted.

"Kaltxi" Aonung and Tsireya said greeting me back. My mother on the other hand simply gave me a glare.

"Wait outside Au'rai" my mother slightly nodded her head to the side "I need to talk to your siblings"

I simply bowed my head and walked out, leaving my basket of fruits to the side. I sighed and took a seat on the pathways that connect all of the pods together. Not long after I began to feel them bounce up and down slightly, I turned my head and saw Tuk hopping towards me. I smiled brightly at her.

"Hey Au'rai!" She gave me a big hug which I happily returned.

"Hello Tuk Tuk" I laughed. "Why are you all by yourself?" I questioned.
