TSIREYA'S POV "Ok guys we have got to talk about this mating thing" I said as I grabbed my bowl of food and sat down with Lo'ak Au'rai and Neteyam.
"What about it?" Said Lo'ak while he grabbed a piece of food off my bowl which made me laugh.
"You turn 16 in three months Lo'ak" stated Neteyam "that means we only have three months to change our parents minds. If we don't..."
"Au'rai and I will be a mated pair" Lo'ak said finishing Neteyams sentence
"For life" added Au'rai.
"We won't let that happen though. We just have to find a way to convince our parents to call this whole thing off" I said
"And if they don't want to?" Au'rai asked looking at Neteyam. Neteyam grabbed her hand and spoke.
"Then we'll find another way, but there's no way you're going to mate with someone who is not me my love" Neteyam said sweetly.
We kept talking for a little while until Kiri angrily walked by followed by Aonung.
KIRI'S POV "Can you please just listen to me?" Aonung said
He had been following me all the way from the shore to the villages eating area where all of our friends are. He has really pissed me off now.
"No! I don't want to speak to you!"
"Woah guys, what's going on?" Lo'ak asked
"This piece of shit here" I said signaling towards Aonung "took it upon himself to tell his mother that we are going to mate!"
"WHAT?!" Everyone said in unison.
"Yup!" I replied
"Wait what happened?" Neteyam asked. He was clearly still trying to comprehend the words that have just left my mouth.
"Well..."
FLASHBACK I was in the beach building a sand castle with Tuk when Ronal called me over. I found this unusual since I've never really interacted with her before, except for when she called me a demon on our first day here in Awa'atlu. I quickly walked towards her I wonder what she wants.
"I see you Tsahik" I said greeting her to which she just bowed her head. Wow her and Aonung are so much alike, he doesn't return greeting either.
"It has been brought to my attention that you and my son are planning to mate some time in the near future"
When she said that I swear my breath got caught in my lungs. I almost choked!
"Wait what?" I asked totally confused.
"If you are to mate with Aonung we must start your Tsahik training now, he will be the future Olo'eyktan so he will need you to be a strong leader by him."
I couldn't even say anything back. What was she talking about? Me? Mate with Aonung?
"We will begin with your trainings next week, you may go now" I simply nodded and walked off.
I walked aimlessly for what felt like hours til i stopped and simply stared into the horizon. What was Ronal talking about? Why does she think I'm going to mate with Aonung? I stood there til I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. I didn't turn around since I already knew who it was.
"Hello Kiki" he said
"I already told you not to call me that Aonung"
"Why not? It's so cute!" He laughed.
I turned to face him and he looked down at me and smiled.
"I had a very interesting conversation with your mother today"
"Oh yes she told me she'd speak with you"
"Wait you knew?" I asked
"Yes" he nodded "I was the one who told her to speak with you. Trust me it was not easy to convince her to let a forest navi be Tsahik or to let a forest navi be my mate but I managed" suddenly realization dawned on me. It was him. This fishy bitch is trying to set me up. I backed up and felt all of my rage come up I brought my arm back and smacked him across the face as hard as I could.
"OW! What was that for?!"
"YOU ARE THE MOST STUPID BEING IN ALL OF PANDORA!!"
"Kiri what did I do?!"
"Why would you tell your mother that we are going to mate Aonung?! You know that's not true, we're not even dating!!"
"I was just trying to mark territory!" He said. I brought my hands to my mouth in shock. Did he really just say that?
"Are you kidding me Aonung?! I'm not an object! You can't just mark me as yours!"
"You were getting too close to Rotxo baby! I had to do something! Maybe now he will back off!"
I scoffed. Eywa I've never hated him more than in this moment. How am I going to explain this to my parents?!
"I hate you" I mumbled
"What?" He asked coming closer to me.
"I HATE YOU" I exclaimed as I pushed him as hard as I could.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Aonung why would you do that?!" Au'rai asked angrily. "You see that situation that all of us are in and then you go and add more problems!"
"Look I know I messed up but I only did it because I love you Kiri! Weren't we going to end up mating anyways?"
"No!" I exclaimed "Aonung you don't love me! You just did this because you don't want Rotxo to have me! You just want me because he does!"
"That's not true! Don't you remember what I told you that night that we swam together? I told you to just give me some time and I would win your heart"
"For a second it was yours Aonung. I'm not so sure about it now"
