OMNISCIENT
As they flew closer and closer to Awa'atlu, Au'rai felt her stomach turn in knots. She wished she was one of those people who was selfish and didn't care, maybe if she was they wouldn't be returning right now. Neteyam could tell that Au'rai was nervous, it hurt him to see her like that, in attempts to soothe her he put his hand on her thigh and ran it up and down. The gesture, though small, did kind of make Au'rai feel better. At least she wasn't alone. She had Neteyam with her and that meant the world to her.Soon enough they reached Awa'atlu and they landed on the beach. They noticed the village seemed empty but they heard loud voices and cheers coming from the place where meetings were usually held. They all quickly made their way there and saw all of the village in an uproar with Jake trying to calm them down.
"My spirit sister and her baby have been murdered by the sky people!" Ronal yelled out causing the villagers to unite in anger and sorrow. Au'rai felt a tug in her heart as she heard her mothers words, even though her and her mothers spirit sister had never been particularly close, that didn't mean it didn't upset her.
"We cannot attack! If we attack the sky people will destroy us! They will destroy everything you love!" Jake said to the villagers. Neteyam and Au'rai immediately held each other close together. Neteyam knew his fathers words were right, he had seen it happen before, time and time again. "You have to tell the Tulkun to go! Tell them to go far away!" The clan immediately began to rise in an angry cry, even more so when a they realized who had returned.
"What are you doing here?!" Ronal yelled as she looked at her daughters and at the Sully boys. "This is no longer your home!" Neytiri and Jake looked at the young Navi in almost a sympathetic way. They knew what it was like to be shunned for loving someone that they weren't meant to love.
"Mother, we saw a demon ship it is approaching the village!" Tsireya announced. The villagers began to stir in panic. It was in that moment when Au'rai noticed Neteyam slipping away, she watched where he was going and saw that he was following Lo'ak.
Soon enough Jake was back to trying to calm the village down. In doing so he somehow managed to get the Metkayina to agree and go tell the Tulkun to leave. Au'rai and Tsireya began to make their way to where Neteyam and Lo'ak had gone, bumping into Rotxo and Aonung on the way.
"Aonung!" Au'rai embraced Aonung in a tight hug before pulling away and hugging Rotxo.
"You guys got away! Why would you come back?" Aonung asked his sisters.
"We had to come help the village and tell them the sky people were coming!" Tsireya explained.
"Come on we have to go find Lo'ak and Neteyam!" Au'rai said as she dived into the water quickly getting on an ilu.
