OMNISCIENT
The hours seemed to be never ending. Eclipse had already fallen upon Pandora and the war party still wasn't back. Neteyam still wasn't back. Au'rai spent most of her time praying with other villagers or going around helping other villagers to calm down. For some reason she felt that she wasn't being pushed away as much as she usually was. She guessed that it was true what people say about tragedy's, they bring people together.

Au'rai was sitting down in her families mauri pod praying to Eywa for about the 20th time that day. She just wanted everyone to come back and for everyone to be okay. She tried to calm herself by thinking of Neteyam, her mate. She slightly smiled at the thought of them officially being mated for life. It brought her a sense of peace and an extreme amount of joy.

Au'rai softly hummed Neteyam's song cord and as she looked out into the vast ocean, a horn was blown signaling the arrival of the war party. Au'rai let out a gasp and waisted no time in running as fast as she could down to the beach. When she arrived, she saw villagers reuniting with their loved ones, while others cried as they realized their loved ones hadn't made it back from battle.

She looked around frantically trying to find her friends and family, as she ran, she slammed into someone or something. She looked down to see a human. A human? Here? As Au'rai looked down at the human in slight shock she heard her name being called.

"Au'rai!" Au'rai turned to see Lo'ak coming towards her, he looked tired and defeated.

"Lo'ak!" She hugged him tightly and smiled when she saw he was fine. Lo'ak let out what seemed like a low sob as he tried to push Au'rai away from him.

"Au'rai"

"Where's Neteyam?" Au'rai asked frantically as she backed away from Lo'ak.

"Au'rai"

"Come with me to find..." Au'rai watched as her parents arrived on the beach along with her siblings, Rotxo, and the rest of the Sully's. They all seemed to be distraught. Au'rai began to slowly walk towards the group as Lo'ak and the human boy followed close behind her.

"Au'rai I...I have to tell you something." Lo'ak spoke as he put his hand on Au'rai shoulder. As the two made eye contact, Au'rai could see the tear stains on Lo'aks cheeks, she gave him a confused look. What happened?

Then suddenly, as Au'rai looked at Lo'ak, it hit her. She felt her heart squeeze and her senses shut down.

"Where is Neteyam?" Au'rai asked him quietly. Lo'ak avoided looking at Au'rai, feeling his own pain consume him. "Where is he Lo'ak."

"Au'rai..."

"Where is he! Where is Neteyam!" Au'rai cried angrily.

"He got shot." Lo'ak struggled to say back. Au'rais ears immediately pinned back in sadness. "He's dead Au'rai."

"No" Au'rai shook her head as she backed away from Lo'ak. "No. He's not. He's not...dead."

"Au'rai please." Lo'ak cried.

"No! He...he said he'd be back! He didn't lie to me! He wouldn't lie to me!" Au'rai cried as she looked around frantically for her mate. Lo'ak didn't know what else to do but pull her into a tight hug. That's what he did. He held her tightly letting Au'rai break down in his arms.

"I know, I know, just breath." Lo'ak whispered softly into her ears. They stood that way for a while, but all Au'rai wanted to do was see Neteyam. She needed to see him to know it was true that he was actually gone. She hoped that maybe something would change if she held him. Maybe he'd wake up, maybe his heart would start beating again, maybe he'd come back to life. Maybe this was all a nightmare.

"Take me to him." Au'rai said, backing away from their hug. "Please I...I want to see him." She sniffed. Lo'ak nodded softly and wrapped an arm around her shoulders as they walked to the Sully's family hut.

When they arrived, Au'rais eyes immediately drifted to her mates lifeless body. Suddenly, she didn't feel so ready to see him. Jake and Neytiri stood and turned their attention to the young girl before doing the I see you motion. Au'rai returned the gesture before walking closer to Neteyam. Jake and Neytiri gave her a sad look as they walked out of the mauri pod, followed by Lo'ak and the human boy.

Au'rai knelt down next to Neteyam and softly ran a finger over his cold face. He still looked so beautiful, it just seemed like he was resting, only Au'rai knew this was permanent. She gently picked up Neteyam's head and cradled it into her arms as she gently stroked his hair.

"You said you'd be back Nete..." Au'rai whispered. "You left me all alone." She began to cry softly. "Why? Why...Why did you leave me Teyam?" Au'rai just wanted him to wake up and hug her. She wanted him to love her one last time.

Lo'ak and Au'rai swam next to each other as they both touched Neteyam's face one last time. Kiri made sure to give Au'rai a comforting look as Jake and Neytiri began to lower Neteyam down into the yellow glow that he would rest in. Au'rai felt Lo'ak nuzzle his face into her neck as he cried for his brother. Au'rai watched the yellow glow consume Neteyam, she wished she could swim down and pull him out to just see his face again for a moment.

And then, just like that, he was gone. It was unbelievable to Au'rai that just as quickly as he had arrived, he left. He left her with a great pain and a great love, she would have to carry them both for as long as she'd live. But that's what she would do. She would live every single day, for Neteyam.

Au'rai swam close towards the spirit tree as she prepared to connect with it. It would be the first time she would see Neteyam since he'd passed only a few days ago. She would've done it sooner, but she just wasn't prepared for it yet. She wanted to give him a second to adjust in his new reality. Au'rai took a deep breath before finally connecting her queue with the spirit tree. A white flash blinded her before taking her to a small bioluminescent waterfall. She looked around and took in all of her surroundings, suddenly she felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around her waist, she could've cried right then and there but she held it together.

Au'rai smiled and turned to face him. There he was, looking more alive than ever. He smiled down at her and pulled her in closer to him. All she could do was bask in the feeling of having him so close again.

"I missed you baby." He spoke softly to her.

"I missed you more ma Teyam."
