AU'RAIS POV
I saw Sahné hit the ground with a loud thud. Not long after Neteyam was on top of him, trying to punch him, but Sahné was quick enough to grab onto Neteyam's arms. Sahné managed to flip the both of them over so now he was on top, he tried to pin Neteyam to get him to calm down."Neteyam it's not what it-" Sahné was cut off by Neteyam kneeing him in his...lower region. Neteyam regained his strength and flipped them over again before he started beating the shit out of Sahné.
"Tey!" I wanted to break the fight up so badly, but I knew better than to get in the way. I've seen thousands of guys get into fights and every time their girl friends try to break it up, they end up looking stupid. I refuse to look stupid. But this fight is getting ridiculous and it needs to be stopped, so I grabbed Neteyam's tail and yanked it as hard as I could. He let out a yelp and stopped hitting Sahné. I started to walk away still holding on to his tail, which gave him no other choice but to follow.
"Sorry Sahné!" I called out. When I looked back I saw that Sahné was still on the ground, I'll give him a proper apology later.
"Ow! My tail Au'rai! Ow!" Neteyam cried. I walked us over to a secluded area before letting go.
"What is your problem?!"
Neteyam gave me a bewildered look.
"What's my problem?! What's yours!"
"Mine?!"
"Yes! Why were you with him?!"
"Neteyam I-"
"No!" He cut me off "I'm so tired Au'rai. I'm so fucking tired of feeling like everyone is trying to take you away from me! Do you know what that feels like? I have both of our parents trying to separate us and that bitch Sahné trying to take you from me." He walked closer to me still looking angry "but I don't care. If I have to fight all of Pandora to keep you, I will."
He turned away from me and took a few steps. I could hear him taking a few deep breaths and I felt my heart break. I've never seen him so angry before. I walked to him and put my hand on his shoulder. I felt him tense up and then relax under my touch, he turned around and I wrapped my arms around him and brought him close to my chest. Aonung used to have really bad anger issues, whenever he had an attack my mother would hold him tightly to help him calm down, so this is the only thing I know to do in situations like this. It took Neteyam a few seconds to hug me back, but when he did he clinged to me tightly, I could hear his breathing slow down a bit as well as his heart beat.
