NETEYAM'S POV I woke up with a pounding head ache and with not much recollection of what happened last night. I know there was a strong gust of wind that shook the forest, I continued dancing with Au'rai, we drank some more, but everything else is completely blank. I looked around my families pod and noticed Lo'ak and Tsireya sleeping together while Au'rai was awake cutting some fruits, I smiled at the sight and stood up to greet her. I walked up behind her and placed a kiss on her right shoulder.
"Good morning ma Teyam" she smiled turning around to face me.
"Good morning my love" I leaned down to give her a kiss, I wish I could start every morning this way. "Where are my parents?" I asked before eating a piece of the fruit she was cutting.
"They are with Tsahik, Kiri and Aonung did not come home last night, everyone is very worried" Au'rai stated.
"What?"
"Don't you remember? We all tried to wait up for them last night but they never showed" I tried thinking back to last night, but honestly, nothing was coming to me.
Suddenly we heard commotion coming from outside our tent, Au'rai and I looked at each other before going to see what was happening, forgetting to wake Tsireya and Lo'ak up in the process. We walked outside our hut and saw a crowd of people surrounding my parents and grandmother while they talked to Kiri and Aonung. I'm glad they're back. My parents started walking towards the hut followed by my grandmother, Kiri, and Aonung. My parents didn't look too happy. When they made it inside the tent my mothers eyes immediately landed on Lo'ak and Tsireya, who were holding each other as they slept.
"Mother it's not what it-" My mother tried to say before getting cut off by my grandmother.
"Oh stop I already knew, they don't exactly hide it very well" My grandmother stated. "Now, let's get back to the issue at hand"
"What is happening?" We all turned to see Lo'ak and Tsireya awaking from their slumber, quickly standing up once they saw my parents. I felt someone hold my arm softly and instantly knew it was Au'rai.
"Where were you two last night? The whole village was about to go looking for you!" My father yelled looking at Aonung and Kiri. My sister and Aonung looked to each other before Aonung took a deep breath and spoke.
"Mr Sully, Kiri and I...have mated" A thick silence fell over the room as soon as Aonung spoke. Mated? Already? Well I guess they could've done it whenever, there is no one prohibiting them from being together.
