CHAPTER 39- CRY

Mia's pov

I sink down to the seat which is farthest away from Jayden. After the party and the impulse kiss, i couldn't look straight at Jayden's eyes not being embarassed. Every presence of him made me to remember the kiss we shared, the smell of his cologne and his soft lips on me. It made me want to feel his touch again, want to taste him again.

I want to tell him everything about how I’m feeling for him but i was afraid. Afraid of losing him totally. So i better choose to avoid him. But it was hard at the lunch time like this.

Derek moved into the pack house a day before and everyone was busy talking about it. Olivia looked like she is in cloud nine.  I starts to engage in small talk with Sarah, momentarily nodding unless all silent and looking down at my food.  But I can feel someone's intense stare, i can feel his gaze.

I looked up but to my dismay Jayden was busy talking to a brunette. I think her name was something..... Rose?. When did they become friends ??.

My heart tightens seeing Jayden laugh because of her. I hate the way she is close to him. I hate the way she is leaning forward to him. It was enough for me to lose my appetite. All of sudden, my delicious meal feel bitter and sour.

Suddenly, Jayden's gaze shifts from Rose right on to me as though he’d known all along that i was watching him. My face heated up and i looked away from his piercing gaze. I eat faster wanting to slide away from there as soon as possible, against my fast beating heart.

"Hi" I genuinely hadn’t noticed jayden gliding over to my other side until he was sitting besides me. He shoot me a smug smile, put his hand over my shoulder and pulling me into his hard chest.

"Hey!" I blushed not knowing how to act infront of him for the first time. The skinship between jay and me wasn't the first time. Jayden was like that to everyone, not only to me. But that doesn't mean my heart didn't skipped a beat everytime he did that.

Jayden doesn’t say anything. He’s just looking at me, right at me, gaze unwavering. Nervous starts to build upon me feeling his constant gaze. Jayden almost never thinks before he talks.Did he remember that kiss?.No way!!!!!.If he did why didn't he asks me before?.

“I was thinking,” he finally says slowly. “I was thinking... Would you like to go hunting with me?"

"You and me alone?" I asks expectedly, with shiny eyes. Hunting was quite tough for me because of my small wolf and omega built but it was Jayden who is asking me, and for the first time. Can I consider it, some kind of date?. Is Jayden asking me on a date???.

"No, Rose is also coming. But just us three?"

"Ohh..." My face twisted in displeasure and he was taken back seeing my reaction. All i can think was why he wants to invite Rose?. Why all of sudden?. There wasn't any Rose in his life before two weeks, then why he wants to spend time with her?. Does jay likes her?. I heart sink in my own thoughts.

"Thanks but i really not." I shot back depressed all of sudden. Jayden stops chewing the French fries that he steals from mine and  his frown deepens in confusion. I usually agrees with whatever he asks but somehow i couldn't agree to this. I can't stand to see Jayden's eyes on anyone else other than me.

"Why?" He asks obviously confused.

"Because i don't want to!"

"Why you don't want to? Is it because i invited Rose?" He asks being pushy. Why can't he just take my answer and leave the thing beside?..

"What? No!. Why would I have any problems with she coming?" I make an exaggerated display of shock, biting back the urge to shout at him, it's only because of her.
