CHAPTER 17.5- TREAT YOU BETTER

Sarah's pov

I was totally shocked when i heard about the fight between Olivia and Elijah. I know they don't like each other and no one knows the reason behind it.

I was worried about Olivia. I was her gamma, so it was my duty to protect her at any cost. Moreover i know she won't act like that without any specific reason.

When i reached infront of principal's office Aaron and Jayden was already there. I hurried over to them being anxious. I saw Jackson, who was Elijah's beta and other minions were also standing opposite of us. Some of them were glaring at us. It takeed more than one hour for Olivia to come out.

But what hurted me the most was Olivia didn't even looked at me even once. I was worried for her. I know she was not okay because of the fight and whatever the principal said but i felt a sting in my heart when she looked both at Aaron and Jayden but not to me.

It was nothing serious to complaint about, maybe she didn't noticed i was standing there. If she had i know she won't do like that, so i just shrugged it off. Anyway i am not some elementary school kid for being sad over something like that. I should behave as a strong gamma not as a weakling.

I was walking through the hallway when I see Elijah sitting in an empty classroom holding his hand. I could see Olivia beaten the shit out him. The wounds and red marks are visible from even distance. It was rare to see him like this.

"Hey" i says walking towards him. He looked like he is in pain. Is he really hurt that badly?.

" Why are you here?" He says with a irritated scoff bringing his usual stoic face. The same rude man!.

" Why can't I be here?. I don't think this place only reserved for you." I retort.

"Sorry princess, my bad!. You can do as you please. " he says sarcastically rolling his eyes. The usual smirk was playing on his lips and i felt the urge to smack that away.

"Are you okay?. Does it hurt?" I asked glancing at him after a moment of peaceful silence. He looked shocked for a moment. It's not like i care, right?. It was just a affection as a fellow human being and nothing more.

"Princess, Don't act like you care. You should go and check on your Olivia. If you are here to pity me i don't need that ." Elijah says intimidating. The fuck is his problem!. Why can't he speak normal for onces. Why is he always acting strong and tough?. I was an idiot for asking him!.

I sighed shaking my head. I shouldn't had come here. I stayed silent without answering to what he said. Silence is better than talking to him.

"Why are you and Olivia hate this much?. I heard you were friends before. What happened between you two to turn out like sworn enemies?." I asks after a moment of silence curiously.

" Why don't you go and ask Olivia about that? If i remember you are her gamma, right?" He asks irritated.

" What's your problem?. If you don't want me here, i will go. No need to act like this." I says turning around to walk away.

" Stay." Elijah says stopping me holding my wrist. I looked at his hold on mine. I yanked my hand immediately away from him.

"Stay with me. I don't want to be alone right now." He added briefly meeting my eyes.

We both fall on an awkward silence. I didn't know what to say anymore but it was quite calm and peaceful.

" Huh.. Sarah, thank you for accompanying Elijah" Jackson says when he saw me standing besides Elijah. Elijah fall asleep on the bench a long ago. He surely is exhausted.
