Shana's P.O.V
I let out a long frustrated sigh, walking through town with my brother, Inuyasha, and the girl known as Kagome. Erza suggested that we show them around town meanwhile their furry cat recovers So, we split into two teams.
I have no idea where to take them or how to make conversation. "So, um, Lady Shana, you have the same father as Inuyasha, right? What was he like?" Kagome was the first to break an awkward silence in the air.
I glance back at her. "What did I say about calling me 'lady'?!" I raised my voice a bit. She had a nervous sweat-dropped. "And I wouldn't know... I never met him. " That seemed to spark Inuyasha's interest.
"You too?" He asked, his arms crossed inside his kimono.
"You never met him either?" I guess we do have stuff in common.
He scuffs avoiding my gaze. "He was supposed to die the day I was born." It almost sounded like he was blaming me.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome says in a scolding tone.
I didn't really care. "To be honest, I don't even know how my mom and dad met. Mom hates talking about it so I don't push it!" Not to mention I never really tried asking her about it before.
I hear a grunt come from Inuyasha. "Since a lot of people call you, 'lady', does that mean you're royalty?" Shippo the little fox demon asked me.
I made a squirmish face. "I guess. My mom is or was the fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. She's the granddaughter of the first Hokage so I guess royalty is somewhat in my blood. But I cut tides to all that a long time ago. I was one to never care about titles like that." I explained.
Kilala jumped off my shoulder and ran toward the river with Shippo. "We'll, this is one of my favorites places to go when I just need a little time to think." I took them to my favorite river inside the forest.
Kagome sighs taking in the air. "It seems so peaceful."
Normal P.O.V
While the three were staring out into the beautiful clear floating river, Inuyasha couldn't help but secretly stare at his younger sister. There's definitely a resemblance between the two. But, he did notice something in her eyes... sadness. But there was more to it.
His eyes shifted toward the water. Maybe, he was a bit too harsh on her. There's still a lot he doesn't know that he wants to know.
"Why do you smell weird?" Inuyasha questions still having his arms crossed.
Shana glanced back at her brother almost feeling offended. "Inuyasha! You don't say that!"Kagome scolded for what seemed for the one hundred time today.
"What? She does! She might have mine and Sesshomaru's scent but there's something else I'm smelling." Inuyasha told her with an eyebrow arched.
Shana blinks her eyes for a few minutes. "You must be talking about her Dragon Slayers magic," Alastor spoke interrupting their argument.
"Dragon slayers magic? " the two said in unison.
"What's that?" Shippo asked.
"It's one of the powers I use. A Water Dragon trained me." Shana said looking down at her hands.
"Really? They exist?" Kagome says shocked while Inuyasha scuffed.
"Ha! Yeah right! You really expect me to believe that a dragon thought you your magic?" Inuyasha asked not believing me.
