Smile - Mikky Ekko
"Smile, the worst is yet to come
We'll be lucky if we ever see the sun
Got nowhere to go, we could be here for a while
But the future is forgiven, so smile"

Klaus leaned against the rails on the balcony of his compound looking over the French Quarter. Darkness had taken over the city and the festivities had begun for the night. He assigned some of the vampires to keep an eye on the Valencia twins as soon as the two left the compound with Caroline. Caroline promised him that they only came for a dress for the little female vampire but he could never be too safe when it came to his daughter. Especially when Caroline originally told him it would only be three of them but then the annoying Salvatore and the Gemini coven leader joined as well.

A small gush of wind blew in his face and Klaus smirked knowing very well who it was. "Brother. Did you acquire the information about the twins?"

Elijah adjusted his tie and nodded walking to stand beside Klaus. "Niklaus. Indeed, I did."

Klaus rolled his eyes at his brother theatrics. "And? Care to elaborate, Elijah."

"Always the impatient one, Niklaus," Elijah said. "Rosa and Alejandro Valencia are the son and daughter of a very well known, highly skilled, feared Mexican family of supernatural hunters, mainly wolves. Their family is based off running majority of Mexico and some California area. The large family of hunters are known as the Calavera's."

"Wolf hunters? Calavera? Did they not say their last name is Valencia?" Klaus furrowed his eyebrows recalling all the details Caroline gave to him about the twins. Not once was the last name Calavera mentioned on their phone call.

"It seems like Ms. Forbes has not been entirely truthful with you or perhaps her boyfriend has kept this a secret from her as well. Either way, they do not pose any threat to you, Hayley, or Hope. I'll make sure of it," Elijah said narrowing his eyes on the street life below them.

Klaus remained silent. He could easily end the twins life at this very moment if he really did consider them any threat. But, the idea of having not only two wolf hunters, highly skilled ones on that matter, on his side intrigued him. The wolves of the bayou have been quite difficult in response to his leadership keeping their loyalties to Jackson. If he had the help of feared werewolves hunters on his side to keep them on check, surely their loyalties will change and the protection for Hope increases. Klaus already witnessed how terrified Jackson got with the sight of the male twin. It must of been their father that is well known and the male twin must resemble tremendously.

Elijah spoke again cutting off Klaus' thoughts. "But, I might add, it seems the twin's left the family business a couple years ago when they befriended some wolves in California during their time in high school."

"Such a shame," Klaus mumbled.

Elijah continued on, "the girl, she even dated a werewolf in high school from what I found."
