"I don't see why I couldn't invite Jacob," Rosa groaned as she leaned her back against the kitchen counter as Alé opened up the bag of ice.
"You already know why hermanita." Alé sighed.
"I don't even like any of these people," Rosa huffed and crossed her arms against her chest. She knew most of the people in their apartment at the moment but none of them were what she would consider friends beside Seth and Marcus. Rosa got a feeling a lot of guys from Alejandro's fraternity don't like her because Alé refuses to live at the fraternity house to stay with her at their apartment. Their precious vice-president, at only a second year in college Alejandro is the youngest ever elected, no surprise there, he was born for leadership.
"Look, you have Seth and Marcus here," Alejandro said. "And Jessica will be by later." Jessica said she was running late cause she had the closing shift at her job.
The Valencia twins were hosting a small kick back for Alejandro's fraternity at their place along with some of the members girlfriends and friends. Alé and Jacob were in different fraternities and some of Alejandro's brothers didn't like the fraternity Jacob belonged too. Petty little frat boy things.
"Care wishes she can be here to keep you company, by the way." Alejandro said as he mixed some beer cans in the ice chest. Rosa simply nodded. Her twin told her Caroline couldn't make it tonight because her mother wasn't feeling so good the last couple of days due to her medical condition. Alejandro had told Caroline he'll cancel the party and go spend the night with them but Caroline insisted for him to not do that and that she just wanted to spend some alone quiet time with her mother.
"If it makes you feel any better, next party we throw here, you can write the guest list," Alejandro said as he slightly bumped his shoulder against his sisters trying to cheer her up.
Rosa grew a smirk on her face and grabbed one of the shots already poured on the kitchen counter downing it as she winked saying, "your words not mine, Alé."
Alejandro rolled his eyes as he shook his head watching his twin walk off to the living room to mingle.

As the music roared and college students from the hallway walked in and out of their apartment, the Valencia twins, Seth, Marcus and Jessica all stood around the kitchen counter in a circle drinking beer and having a good time.
Rosa was laughing at something Seth said as she felt an arm brush against hers. She turned looking up seeing Kai Parker now standing beside her. Rosa quickly turned to look at her group of friends, Seth and Marcus grew stiff eying down Kai, Jessica was trying her hardest to hide her huge grin while Alé just rolled his eyes taking a sip from his cup. Rosa was a little caught off guard, she was never expecting Kai too show up tonight. She hadn't seen him in three days since they last hook up. The only communication they have had was a couple texts and a phone call where Kai freaked out. To Rosa, it kind of seemed like he lost interest in her after they had sex.
