Rosa tucked in her over sized brown sweater into her fitted black jean skirt. Grabbing her beige medium size tote bag and keys from behind the staffs desk, she began walking toward the exit of the bookstore. Rosa clicked the light switch off and proceeded to lock the door behind her. She sighed. It was past an hour after closing, almost 23:30 hours. Rosa didn't think it would have taken her that long to clean up and sort through all the books that were left at the front counter and back storage. Jacob was with her until the last thirty minutes so she couldn't vamp speed to get things done more quickly.
Rosa's long wavy curls blew past her cheeks as the wind picked up slightly. It was now the beginning of April but the small breeze picking up sent small shivers down Rosa's spine. The Valencia female suddenly heard cracks of small branches on the ground behind her as she quickly turned around swinging her fist.
A hand filled with rings grabbed ahold of her wrist as she felt a quick sharp pain course through her body. "Easy there, shortcake," a boyish grin flashed across Kai Parker's face.
"Parker!" Rosa said scrunching up her nose trying to wrestle her wrist away from his hand. She didn't particularly liked being siphon unless she consent to it. "What are you doing?"
Kai released her wrist and shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "You texted me you were still here and it was getting late. I know you don't have a car so you would be walking home. Even if your place is a couple blocks down, the thought of you walking alone, just didn't sit right with me."
Rosa tried to contain the huge smile on her face from forming. She knew her being a vampire, walking alone at night after her work shift didn't bother her because she had the strength and ability to fend for herself. But the thought of Kai worrying about her safety, brought a warmth inside of her she hasn't felt in a long time.
Rosa gave a small chuckle clinching onto her tote bag as she began walking. Kai quickly turned and jogged slightly to walk beside her. Last night, Rosa was also wearing a skirt but with mid thigh length tights. Tonight, Rosa wasn't wearing any as her bare caramel skin legs were on full display for him.
Kai bit his lower lip as he move closer wanting to feel her touch. His hand and arm brushed against hers. He looked down at Rosa, "you're glowing tonight Ro, almost as if you had the best bang of your life last night."
Rosa stopped abruptly as she began to cough uncontrollably from her saliva going down the wrong way. She felt two hard thumps hit her back as she regain control. Rosa looked up at Kai baffled. "Did you really just say the word bang?"
Kai started humming as a grin spread wide across his face. "Of course. Bang-like sex. Your friend Jacob taught me that term the other night," he paused seeing Rosa's cheeks turning the same shade as her vibrant red lips. "Why are you getting all shy all of a sudden? Cause we banged last night? Starting in fraternity bathroom and finishing in my bedroom? Probably one of the best bangs I've ever had."
