"Alé!" Was last heard roaring throughout the massive amount of pine trees.
Alejandro let out a low groan and held onto his lower abdomen where the arrow was piercing through. He was trying not to cry out loud knowing if his twin heard him, she'll do something stupid to save him and give herself up. He felt the warm liquid oozing within his fingers. Rosa should be able to smell his blood by now. He winced as he tried to adjust himself but he couldn't get himself up. As Alejandro laid there flat on the ground within the flames, his eyelids slowly started to close as he felt himself start to lose consciousness.
It hit Rosa, hard. The fresh scent of blood, her brother's blood. "Alé, no." She was growing furious. Furious, her brother was involved in this when it had nothing to do with him. She was the one that got involved with Kai, not him. Veins started growing under Rosa's eyes as they started to turn red. Rosa looked up at Joshua hissing, "you monster! He's only human and had nothing to do with this! It was all me and only me. You coward!"
Joshua bent down and stabbed her with another vervain arrow on her left shoulder this time, "trust me, I'm not done with you yet, little one."
Rosa let out another scream feeling her whole back become numb. At this point, she just wanted the pain to go away. "Make it go away," she pleaded. She closed her eyes, recomposing herself. Focus, she told herself. Taking a deep breath, she slowly grew the veins under eyes again, sinking her red acrylic nails into the dirt trying to lift herself up. Alé was the only thing on her mind and she needed to get him away from the fire and heal him. The smell of his blood was growing and she wasn't going to let him bleed out in the middle of the woods.
Another arrow shot through the center of her back as she slammed down against the ground, the side of her face burying into the dirt. This time Rosa didn't scream, the pain was too reoccurring it didn't feel much different anymore. The numbness in her back was taking over her entire body. She let out a small laugh. "forgive me, Alé." She rasped.
"I broke my promise, Rosa Alicia." Rosa heard her twins barely let out. She felt tears fall from her eyes. Her cheeks still burning from the open wounds soaking in her vervain. She slowly moved her arm back trying to reach for one of the arrows dug in deep. She needed to get out of this situation. Rosa didn't want Alejandro's last moments thinking he broke his promise to protect her.
But Rosa was feeling the effects of the vervain spread throughout her entire body. The image of a smirking Joshua Parker standing right above her was getting blurry. Her vision was watering as she was trying to resist her eyelids from shutting. Last thing she saw was a flash of blonde appear as a small smile grew on Rosa's face before she let herself fall into a state of unconsciousness.
