"Sky?" Bailey raised his eyebrow.

"And it's not my problem you have such a hard time expressing how you truly feel!" I said then stormed off.

"Sky?" Owen said as I continued down the hallway.

I got to the corner and looked around. I spotted Ayden and walked over to him doing the same thing I did to Brody. "You're going no longer going to tell me what the fuck to do. You're not going to threaten me and think you'll get away with it. You're going to stay the fuck away from me and out of my life." I snapped and walked away from him.

"Even if I hurt your precious quarterback?" Ayden called.

"Go ahead. Brody is more than capable of kicking your ass. Which he's proved more than once already." I said then continued walking down the hallway.

I walked out of the school and into the parking lot. I got to Brody's car as a horn beeped. "Get in girl! We are going shopping." Riley smiled.

"For what?" I asked.

"Dresses for Homecoming. You're still playing aren't you?"

"Yeah, I completely forgot." I said and climbed into her car.

"Wait!" Brody grabbed the door. "Sky, I want to talk to you."

"Brody, I'm going shopping with the girls." I sighed.

"Please..." Brody said.

I huffed and got out of the car. "Go on ahead." I told Riley.

"Are you sure?" Riley asked.

"Yeah, it's fine." I nodded. When Riley pulled off I folded my arms looking at Brody. "Well?"

Brody gestured for me to follow him to the car. "Sky..." He said as he leaned against the front fender of his car. "I've told you what happened to me and even showed you my back..." His blue eyes met mine.

"I remember." I nodded.

He gave a nod as he looked down. "I'm not just going to say what I'm feeling... Especially with the shit I've been through... And don't act like you do either, because you don't." I shook my head and looked to my right. Brody huffed and folded his arms. "I'm not staying away." Brody said softly. "I can't and I won't." He stood up straight.

"Brody! We have practice!" Ian called.

I looked towards Ian and slowly looked at Brody. "Go, I will be ok."

"If you stay, I can drive you home."

"It's ok, I can walk." I said quietly.

"Sky, please... Just stay." Brody grabbed my hand.

I looked down at our hands for a moment before meeting his eyes. "I have to go home to check on my mom..."

Brody nodded. "Be careful and you know how to reach me if you need anything."

I nodded and watched him walk to the field before walking home. I folded my arms as I walked along the sidewalk. I was almost home when I was yanked back by my hair. I squealed loudly. "Let me go!"

"Shut up." Ayden dragged me back slightly. "Who the hell do you think you are? You don't talk to me like you run the show."

I stomped on his foot. "You don't tell me what to do!" I punched him. I took off running fast. I was taken down into the grass and Ayden sat on me as he hit me multiple times. I screamed and cried out as he hit me. Then he stood up and kicked me multiple times. He kicked my side then my stomach.

I laid there crying for the longest time until I heard a rumble of a car. As it got closer I realized that's Brody's car. Even though it hurt I pulled myself a little closer to the road. His headlights shined on me and I heard his car screech to a halt. "Sky!" He rushed over to me.

"Sky, what happened!?" Owen also rushed over.

"Ayden..." I said through the pain.

"We have to get to the hospital..." Owen said.

Brody looked around for a moment then pulled out his phone. "Bailey! Have you left the school yet?" Brody asked. "Good, when you go to leave, turn left, not right. Keep coming until you see my car."

"Why call Bailey?" Owen asked.

"Because Bailey has a four door truck. He and I will take her to the hospital, you're going to drive my car home."

"Ok." Owen nodded.

"Don't worry, I will keep you updated." Brody said as a pair of headlights shined behind Brody's car.

Bailey ran over to us. "Oh my god.. What the hell happened to her?"

"Ayden." Brody said as he pushed his arm gently under me then gently placed his other arms under my knees and eased me off the ground. "Get the back door man, we need to get her to the hospital. Sky, are you still with us?"

"Yeah..." I said quietly.

"Bailey looked at me then at Brody. "We have to hurry. We don't know what kind of injuries she has and her being unconscious could be a bad thing..." He ran over to his truck and opened the back door.

"Get home Owen!" Brody jogged over to the truck and eased me inside then got in."

I heard the rumble of Brody's car as Owen left. "Hang on tight." Bailey said as he took off and drove to the hospital.

"Sky..." Brody said softly. "What did he do to you?"

"Hit me then kicked me..." I said softly.

"Do you feel like anything is broken?"

"No... Just sore." I said a little quieter.

"Sky..." Brody said. "Stay with me..."

I winced in pain as the truck shook after hitting a bump. "O-Ok..."

"My bad." Bailey said as he turned the wheel.

Once the truck came to a stop, Brody got out and eased me out. Brody got me inside quickly and to the nearest nurse. She got me a bed and I was taken into a room where they checked me over. I was told that I would be sore for a while, but I could go home tonight. I signed the discharge papers and walked out of the room.
