One Brother's Fall From Grace is Another Brother's Reach for the Stars

Nastasia stands patiently as Wario finally appears.

"Whaaa?" He exclaims upon being dropped. "What's going on here?"

Then when he sees Nastasia, "You again.", then sees Bowser, still as a statue.

"Why are his eyes red?"

"Bowser answers to me now." She informs him.

"What does that mean for me?" Wario asks immediately.

"It means I'm the ringleader now, mkay? Everything that happens from here on out is under my jurisdiction."

"Are you going to rat me out?" Wario demands.

"Not at all. I'm going to make the plan sparkle like it never would with Bowser."

Mr. L tentatively knocks on the doorway in the conference room, startling his brother, who's eyes go wide upon seeing him.

"Hey. I couldn't find Wario anywhere, so I took my best shot."

Despite the relief in his chest, Mario still gets defensive, "One more crack about Wario, and I--"

"No!" Mr. L says immediately, putting up his hands in surrender. "I was just given some good news that I thought you should hear from me first."

That gets Mario to deflate some, so Mr. L goes on, "The plan for the Sammer Kingdom just got final approval. They're ready to buy materials to send over."

Mario's eyes go wider, "That's incredible!", and he even jumps in the air. "Wahoo! I knew we could do it!"

"I just thought the princess would wanna hear the good news from both of us." Mr. L explains. "I mean, since we both had a hand in what went down."

At that, Mario smiles. "Guess so. Thanks, Lu. You made my day, coming here to tell me yourself."

"Explain something to me." Wario orders. "Why do you care what me or Bowser get up to?"

"Oh it's very simple." Nastasia claims calmly. "See, when Lord Blumiere married Lady Timpani, they disappeared from this world. And we were left without any direction to go in. And now that I have a chance to make things right, I'm not going to pass it up. But I need your plan to do it."

"You're going to restore Mario's brother's memories by making sure our plan doesn't fail?" Wario's smart enough to read between the lines.

"Well, your current job, as well as Mario's mental health being destroyed just to keep an eye on you, I'd say that's the perfect time to ambush him when his guard is down. And by the time he wakes up, it'll be too late. You were hired for your nose for money and treasure. Use it. I can't believe the one they call Bowser came up with this plan. It is surprisingly well thought out."

"No." Wario shakes his head. "Mario was right about one thing, my microgames are worth something. I'll take my chances selling them."

"Then where's the bag of coins Bowser gave you to take it this far?" Nastasia asks, making Wario stop dead.

"I just put my life on hold to come here, which isn't cheap, even for a hotel room!" Wario defends.

"Hm." Nastasia's face doesn't change.

"Anyhow, that's not all I came here to tell you." Mr. L tells Mario. "I want to apologize for what happened at the café. When Nastasia asked Mimi to tail Wario, we had no idea It traced back to Bowser, or that you were going to get hurt in the process."
