Stiles ended up getting several days off from any and all vampire drama which was good as it gave him time to do normal human things like play video games, watch movies and just be fun teenager for a bit. It was good that he got those couple of days off because it meant he was nice and refreshed for the call that he got from Damon telling him that the tomb vampires had gotten out and two of them had attacked him and Stefan.

Which is how Stiles now found himself in the Salvatore house, looking at a room that is absolutely filled with books...and a dead body, but Stiles is trying to focus on the books.

"How have I never seen this room before?" Stiles asks as he steps over the dead body and walks to the wall of books.

"You're afraid of blood, needles and especially deep cuts but a dead body, your fine with?" Damon inquires.

Stiles doesn't know how to answer that, so he just shrugs his shoulders.

Damon places another board over the window that the two vampires broke when they entered the house.

"I say we go to Pearl's, bust down the door, and annihilate the idiot that attacked us last night." Damon suggests.

"Yeah. and then what? We turn to the rest of the house of vampires and say, 'oops. Sorry?'" Stefan points out.

"I can't believe you made a deal with her." Elena huffs.

"It was more like a helpful exchange of information. And it's not like I had a choice. She's...scary. Besides, she's gonna help me get Katherine back." Damon says upbeat.

"All I'm hearing out of your mouth is 'My names Damon and I'm a selfish idiot'." Stiles tells him.

"Jealous?" Damon queries.

"In your dreams." Stiles rolls his eyes.

"Of course, she's helping you get Katherine. Damon gets what he wants, as usual. No matter who he hurts in the process." Elena points out.

"You don't have to be snarky about it." Damon fake sulks.

"I woke up this morning to learn that all the vampires have been released from the tomb. I've earned snarky." Elena informs.

"How long are you going to blame me for turning your birth mother into a vampire?" Damon asks.

"I'm not blaming you, Damon. I've accepted the fact that you're a self-serving psychopath with no redeeming qualities." Elena explains.

"That sounds like blame to me." Stiles says and Damon nods.

"This isn't being very productive. We're gonna figure out a way to deal with Pearl and the vampires. Yeah? Hmm." Stefan states.

"You mean the vampires that are all older than you and are therefore stronger than you? We're all gonna die." Stiles bemoans.

Damon rolls his eyes at Stiles dramatics before leaving the room.

Elena walks into Stefan's arms making Stiles turn back to the wall of books.

"I'm sorry. He just makes me so cranky." Elena mutters.

"I know. He makes everybody cranky." Stefan explains.

"So, what are we going to do?" Elena asks.

"Damon and I are going to handle everything, I promise." Stefan says giving Elena a kiss on the forehead.

"Well, what about me? I can't just sit here and do nothing." Elena inquires.

"Yes, you can. I have this wild suggestion that the humans stay out of the vampire business." Stiles speaks up as he pulls out a book from the shelf.
