Mark and Donghyuck had been dating for almost two years. They were both seniors in college, and as they were nearing graduation, they were faced with the daunting task of figuring out what was going to happen next.

They had met during their freshman year orientation, and from the moment they locked eyes, they knew that they were meant to be together. Mark was a pre-med student, always studying and buried in his books, while Donghyuck was an art history major who loved to spend his afternoons in museums. They were different, yes, but their love for each other was unbridled and insurmountable.

One Saturday morning, Mark and Donghyuck were sitting in their small apartment, trying to decide what to do with their day. They had made pancakes for breakfast and sat together at the kitchen table, maple syrup and butter dripping down their chins.

"Hey, do you want to go to the museum today?" Donghyuck asked, looking up from his plate.

Mark smiled. He loved when Donghyuck got excited about art.

"Sure," he said. "Which one?"

"The Met?"

Mark nodded. "Sounds good to me."

They got dressed and hopped on the subway, making their way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met was one of their favorite places to go. Mark loved the science exhibits, while Donghyuck loved the paintings.

As they walked through the museum, hand in hand, they stumbled upon a stunning piece of art. It was a painting of a couple, sitting on a park bench, with the sun setting behind them. The colors were mesmerizing, and the couple looked so happy and content.

"Hey, that looks like us!" Donghyuck exclaimed, pointing at the painting.

Mark chuckled. "It kinda does."

They stood in front of the painting for a few moments, admiring it, when a museum guard approached them.

"Excuse me, would you two like to know more about the painting?" he asked.

Donghyuck looked at Mark, who nodded eagerly.

"Yes, please!" Donghyuck said.

The guard smiled and began to explain the history behind the painting. As he was speaking, Mark couldn't help but think about how beautiful Donghyuck looked in the museum. His eyes were alight with interest, and his smile was contagious.

After the guard finished talking, they continued to walk through the museum, stopping to admire different pieces and occasionally taking silly photos together.

As they were walking down a hallway, Mark stopped short and turned to Donghyuck.

"Hey, can we talk?" he asked.

Donghyuck's face fell slightly. "Yeah, of course."

They moved to a quieter corner of the museum and sat down on a bench.

"What's going on?" Donghyuck asked, taking Mark's hand in his.

Mark took a deep breath and looked into Donghyuck's eyes.

"I don't want to leave you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Donghyuck looked confused. "What are you talking about?"

"I mean, after graduation. I don't want to leave you and go to medical school in another state. I don't want to do long distance."

Donghyuck's expression softened, and he smiled empathetically.

"I don't want to do long distance either," he said. "I've been thinking about this a lot, and I think we should move to New York together."

Mark's eyes widened. "Really?"

Donghyuck nodded. "Yeah, I've been applying to jobs and graduate programs in the city. I'm not sure what I want to do yet, but I know that I want to stay with you."

Mark felt tears welling up in his eyes. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have Donghyuck in his life.

"I love you," he said, pulling Donghyuck into a tight hug.

"I love you more," Donghyuck replied, snuggling into Mark's embrace.

They stayed like that for a few minutes, just holding each other, until a museum guard announced that the museum was closing.

As they walked out of the museum, hand in hand, they were filled with a sense of excitement about what was to come. They didn't know what the future held for them, but they knew that they would face it together.

"I can't wait to start our lives together in New York," Donghyuck said, looking up at Mark with sparkling eyes.

Mark smiled. "Me neither. I can't imagine going through life without you by my side."

And with that, they both knew that they were exactly where they were supposed to be.
