Once upon a time, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Renjun, Donghyuck, and Mark woke up in a dark room, with no idea how they got there. The walls were made of steel, with no windows or doors except for a single exit on the other side.

"Is this some kind of prank?" Jisung asked, confused.

Jeno shook his head. "I don't think so... this looks real."

Renjun's eyes widened as he saw a timer on the wall, counting down from one hour. "We have to find a way out of here before time runs out," he said urgently.

The group started to search the room. They found a few items scattered around, including a flashlight, a crowbar, and a notebook with a cryptic message on the cover.

"Hey, look at this," Donghyuck said, pointing to the message. "It says, 'One of you is the key to your escape.'"

The boys exchanged worried glances. "What does that even mean?" Jaemin asked.

As they continued to search, they found that the room was full of deadly traps. Jisung accidentally stepped on a hidden pressure plate, triggering a machine gun that shot him down.

"Jisung!" Chenle cried out in horror, tears streaming down his face.

Suddenly, the floor beneath them started to move, revealing a pit of spikes. Renjun quickly used the crowbar to brace the walls and stop them from falling.

"Thanks, Renjun," Mark said, patting him on the back.

But then, they heard a sound behind them. Jaemin turned around just in time to see a spiked wall closing in on him. He screamed in fear as he was impaled by the spikes.

"Jaemin!" Jeno yelled, trying to reach out for him in vain.

The group was down to five now, and the clock was still ticking. They knew they needed to find a way out soon or risk dying.

As they searched for clues, Renjun noticed that the notebook had a hidden compartment. Inside was a key with a note that read, "The key is not a person."

But as they made their way to the exit, a cloud of poisonous gas started to fill the room. Chenle collapsed first, followed by Jeno and Mark.

Donghyuck and Renjun were the only ones left, gasping for breath as they stumbled towards the door. With the key, they unlocked the door and ran out just as the timer reached its end.

Gasping for air, they collapsed outside the room and looked back in horror at the death trap that had just killed their friends. They clung to each other, tears streaming down their faces as they mourned their loss.

From then on, they both made a vow to never forget the five boys who died in that deadly escape room.
