Angst
There were two teenagers named Yuta and Sicheng who had been in a relationship for over a year. They were deeply in love, and spent most of their time together.
One day, Yuta suggested they take a hike in the nearby woods. Sicheng was hesitant at first but eventually agreed. As they were walking, Yuta suggested they take a shortcut through a dense, dark part of the forest.
The trees towered above them, blocking out the sunlight and casting eerie shadows on the forest floor. Sicheng felt uneasy, but Yuta reassured him that they were only a few steps away from a clearing.
But as they walked on, they realized that they were lost. The trees seemed to close in around them, forming a claustrophobic tunnel.
"I don't like this," Sicheng said, his voice shaking. "I think we should turn back."
But Yuta was adamant. "Nah, it's an adventure! And we're in this together, right?"
They walked on, and as they did so, the forest seemed to grow more twisted and malevolent. The sky turned a deep shade of red, as if they were walking through hell itself.
Suddenly they heard the distant sound of footsteps, whispers, and eerie noises that seemed to be emanating from the surrounding trees.
"What was that?" Sicheng whispered frantically.
"I don't know," Yuta admitted, his voice shaking.
They continued walking until they stumbled across a clearing. In the center of the clearing stood an old, derelict cabin. The windows were dirty and broken, and the door hung off its hinges.
"Look, a cabin," Yuta said, his voice brighter.
"I don't like it," Sicheng murmured, edging backwards.
But Yuta was already making his way towards the cabin. Sicheng followed hesitantly, his nerves on edge.
As they entered, Yuta switched on the light and looked around. The place was a mess, filled with old furniture, cobwebs, and dust.
But there was something else, something darker and more sinister lurking in the shadows. Sicheng sensed it and so did Yuta.
"We should leave," Sicheng pleaded, turning towards the door.
But before they could move, they heard a creaking sound and then the door slammed shut. They both jumped, their hearts pounding.
"What the fuck?" Yuta shouted, banging on the door.
But there was no answer. Instead, the cabin grew darker as the light flickered, casting long, menacing shadows on the walls.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching. They turned to face the entrance as a figure emerged from the shadows.
It was an old lady, ragged and wrinkled, with piercing eyes that seemed to stare right through them.
"What are you doing here?" she croaked, her voice echoing through the room.
"We're lost," Yuta explained, his voice trembling.
The old lady cackled. "Lost? You're not the first to wander in here. There's no coming back from here, kiddos."
Yuta and Sicheng exchanged a horrified look.
"What do you mean?" Sicheng demanded, stepping forward.
"The forest is cursed," she replied. "People come here, and they never leave. The forest takes what it wants and keeps it."
With that, the old lady disappeared into the shadows, leaving Yuta and Sicheng alone once again.
They tried to leave, but the door wouldn't budge. They were trapped.
As the sun began to set, they huddled together in the corner of the cabin, watching as the shadows grew longer and more menacing, and the forest beyond seemed to come alive with twisted creatures and grotesque shapes.
The night passed in a haze of terror and horror. They felt like they were being watched, hunted by something they couldn't see that stalked them in the darkness.
As the first rays of sunlight broke through the windows, Sicheng and Yuta realized they had survived the night. But they were different now, changed by the horrors they had seen.
They stepped out of the cabin, back into the sunlight, but they knew they could never leave the forest. It had claimed them, and now they belonged to it forever.
