The picture of his mother's death remained stuck in his mind as he parked his motorcycle outside of the Salvatore home. The carved story said Niklaus was the one to rip out their mother's heart.

But the story they heard from Niklaus was entirely different, unless it was all a lie fed to them for the last thousand years.

"What are you doing here, Brother?"she questioned as he walked into the house.

Rebekah turned to him with a glass of bourbon in her hand.

"Why so sour?"he frowned then paused.

"Have you been staying here, Rebekah?"

"Elena questioned me of our story... How we became immortals, and I told her everything till the moment when Mother died by Mikael's hand,"she said.

"Bex, they found something... and I have a reason to believe that Mikael didn't kill her,"Ezekiel heaved out a sigh.

"I think Nik did,"he said.

She scoffed in disbelief.

"That's insane. Nik would never lie to me,"Rebekah's brows furrowed.

"When you stop having so much trust for the brother that daggers you, you'll see my reason-"

The door opened and Rebekah glared at the girl that stepped into the home.

"I thought I told you to leave. Twice,"she said.

"How do you know that Mikael killed your mother?"Elena questioned as she cautiously neared her.

"Nik was there, he told me,"Rebekah turned to Ezekiel, pleading for him to tell her that she was right and Elena was wrong.

"He lied to you,"Elena said.

"I refuse to believe that,"Rebekah said and shook her head.

"You both are being ridiculous,"she let out a dry laugh.

"Show her, Elena. Tell her I'm right,"Ezekiel folded his arms.

He hated to be right at this very moment.

He hated having to break his dear sister's heart.

"The cave where you carved your family's names is covered in symbols,"Elena neared them, holding copies of the pictures he had labeled with Alaric earlier.

"The story of your family,"she laid down the pictures on the table.

"How your parents arrived. How they made peace. The spell that turned you into vampires."

"And this,"she set a picture of the sun and moon symbol connected with fangs in the middle.

"It's a symbol for hybrid,"Ezekiel explained.

"And this is the one for your mother,"Elena said.

"Her necklace,"Rebekah gasped at the familiar sight.

"And this is the story of her death."

"The hybrid killed the Original witch,"Elena pointed to the hybrid symbol.

"Not Mikael.. Klaus."

Rebekah shook her head, refusing to believe them.

"No.. No, he wouldn't,"she said.

"She put the curse on him. Made it so that he and Ezekiel would would be the only one of their kind, and then rejected them,"Elena explained.

"The werewolf genes comes with aggression and violence, my dear sister,"Ezekiel said gently.
