It was only, maybe, ten minutes before Sam got there with another guy walking next to him. The man was blonde and just slightly taller then Sam. Carson could assume that was Punz. Once Sam came over to the small group the three boys ran off so that they wouldn't be late. Sam insisted that Carson go to class before he introduced her to the blonde man. However Carson was less then willing.

"Sam I'm not moving till you tell me who he is."

She said with the same stubborn tone she always has. Sam sighed and grabbed Carsons wrist, careful as to not hurt her hand, and somewhat dragged the girl to class. With the blonde boy following, seemingly unfazed at both Carson and Sam's actions.

"Let go of me you fucking prick!"

Apparently that was all she needed to say to make the blonde boy talk

"Watch your language."

"Fuck you."

Carson spat back while still being dragged to class. It was just a few more seconds until they got to Carson's first class and Sam let her wrist go, mumbling out something to the effects of 'there we go' Before opening the door and gesturing for Carson to enter the room but it seemed she still wasn't having it.

"Make. Me."

Sam once again sighed and looked at Carson disappointingly

"If you go inside ill give you a chocolate bar."

This seemed to work as the girl stared at him for a second to make sure he was serious and when he just stared back, Carson went into the room and sat down at her desk peacefully. Holding out her hand when Sam and the blonde kid sat down next to her, somewhat boxing her into her desk.

Sam looked through his bag and after a few seconds he pulled out a chocolate bar and gave it to Carson, who took it and very quietly said thank you. The brown haired boy and the blonde one looked at each other before Sam started speaking again.

"Carson this is Punz. He's going to stay with us, i'm sure you were told?"

"What kind of name is Punz."

The girl said while staring at the blonde boy, who just laughed

"My real names Luke if you'd rather call me that."

Carson raised an eyebrow

"What do you want me to call you."

"Luke is fine."

"Is it?"

"Yes."

Carson may have some issues but she wasn't a complete asshole. She didn't want to call the boy a name that made him uncomfortable.

"So do you two know each other or something?"

Sam looked at the girl confused

"Why'd you assume that?"

"Why are you acting like you know each other?"

She responded to Sams question with another question, somewhat hoping to make him upset. But it didn't seem that would be happening today as instead Sam just answered her first question.

"No we don't know each other that well. But we're both in this program and we've both been assigned to help you, so we met up after school yesterday."

Carson just nodded and looked around the room while the teacher talked. A student handed a packet back to Carson but she didn't make any move to grab it, instead ignoring it until Luke grabbed it and put it down on her desk for her. She just pushed it off her desk and onto the floor though

"No thanks."

Sam picked up the packet and put it back on her desk while Luke talked to her

"You've gotta do your work, come on its not even that hard."

He tried to convince the girl, however Carson just ignored him and closed her eyes. Trying to catch up on the sleep she lost last night. That was until Sam put a hand on her shoulder, making her open her eyes, shrug his hand off her and glare at the boy.

"Do the packet Carson."

Sam said sternly to which the girl only scoffed in response

"Yeah. Thats not going to work."

She laughed towards the end of the sentence. This was pretty typical of her, Carson was a smart kid but she absolutely refused to do any work at school. Nobody really understood why, well Phil had theorized that it was because she never got used to school. Hell Carson had been missing for two years where she hadn't had to go to any school at all and before that the people she stayed with didn't exactly care about her grades.

"Carson, if you do they packet ill give you more candy."

The girl looked at him and then slightly flipped through the packet to see what it was. History was easy

"How many pages?"

It was only a five page packet but it was way more the she was willing to do. Sam was just happy to get her to do any of it.

"Two."

Carson looked at Sam with a smile, holding her hand out for him to shake.

"Its a deal then."

She quickly finished the two pages and looked at Sam, waiting for her treat. Despite it not being the most convenient for his bank account, if Carson could be bribed with chocolate and sweets he would take it.

He swiftly handed over another chocolate bar, which Carson just put in her bag. It wasn't like Sam cared what she did with the chocolate, as long as she was behaving and doing her work he didn't mind her keeping it.
