Talking about stream Carson found out Phil wouldn't actually be streaming it, but his webcam was on as it was some kind of podcast stream.
Quackity's stream chat was actually delighted that Carson was making another showcase. But it was only an hour long stream and really not much happened.
After the stream ended Dream and George left the call, not really wanting to hear about all the awful things that happened to the poor girl. Quackity stayed though hoping to learn something that his classes haven't yet taught him.
"So what do you want to know?"
Carson and Phil had switched seats so that she was in front of the screen, their webcams were still on and Phil was clearly watching her very concerned.
"So your birth father's fami-"
She cut Quackity off
"Don't call him that."
"Sorry, his name's John right?"
She nodded her head
"Why's his mom after you?"
"John was put in prison for the things he did to me. They couldn't get all his.. 'clients' as he called them. But when it got let out that he was a pedophile a few people in the prison beat him to death. His family likes to say i got him killed. A few have been arrested for trying to kidnap me and other things like that."
Quackity's face was full of confusion which made both Carson and Phil laugh, waiting for him to ask his next question.
"So his family thinks its your fault he's dead?"
"Yeah. According to them he never touched me so he wasn't a pedophile."
Even Phil was confused at this. That didn't make any sense at all. But then again neither did molesting a child.
"So you weren't legally taken to the UK?"
Carson shook her head no at the beginning of her sentence
"Uh-uh. My eighth foster family sold me to a man here when i was ten."
"But then what did you do for two years?"
The girl laughed slightly. It wasn't funny, no, but laughing was the only way for her to deal with it.
"Uh well i went through six other people in the first two months.."
She stopped and looked at Phil, who put an arm around her shoulder as reassurance. But also whispering that she doesn't have to tell him if she doesn't want to.
"And then i stayed with one man for twenty two months."
"Really? Thats a long time for a sex offender to keep someone."
"Yeah. He was going to kill me but i was rescued before he got the chance."
"Is he dead?"
"No. He's in jail."
Carson was somewhat avoiding who the man was, but if Quackity was to straight up ask her who it was she wouldn't lie about it either. Whether thats a good or bad thing she wasn't sure.
"Did you have to testify in court against him?"
The girl looked at Phil. She didn't know what to say. It had just happened! He wasn't even being sentenced for the next few weeks or so. Phil seemed to not know what to say either. Technically no one was supposed to know who Carson was. Carson took a deep breath and decided fuck it. She would tell this man who she was.
"He hasn't been to sentencing yet. When he does go it'll be up to the lawyer if i make a 'victim impact statement' she said it was."
She glanced over at Phil who nodded, reassuring that it was the right wording.
"Its sort of a high profile case so even if i do it i won't be on camera."
"High profile? How high of profile?"
Carson sighed and looked at Phil then back at the screen to make semi eye contact with Quackity.
"You probably know it."
Quackity nodded his head. He was only aware of one major profile case going on in sex crimes that involved a twelve year old girl. And that case was one he was learning about in school.. Carson couldn't be that girl could she?
"Are you.."
The man trailed off, not fully sure if he should ask or not. Obviously he wanted to know but Carson was just a child.
He didn't want to push a child this far.
However when Carson just stared at him, waiting for the question to be finished he decided maybe he should ask.
"Are you the London girl?"
It was a funny name. People started calling her that after it was made clear they didn't want to glorify Jacob Banks. He lived in a small city just outside of London when he had Carson, so she was referred to as 'London'. In papers, in news reports, instead of being called by her real name she was 'London'. Her case was the 'London child case'. But Carson couldn't help but find it funny nonetheless.
When she snapped back from her thoughts she realized light tears were falling down her face.
Carson also realized she hadn't answered Quackity's question. Phil was waiting because he didn't want to tell him something Carson didn't want him to know.
Carson wiped the tears from her face, cleared her throat and tried to speak again.
"Yeah. Yeah thats.. tha- thats me."
Quackity nodded
"I'm learning about your case in school."
Carson laughed and looked at Phil, making him start to laugh as well. Once she calmed down the girl started talking to Quackity again.
"Yeah? The sentencing hasn't even happened yet."
"We sometimes study major cases going on globally. Its part of my global criminology class."
"So.. what? You have to take like tests about what happened to me or something?"
Carson said while laughing slightly. she nudged Phil and mumbled something to the effects of 'i'm famous.' Before continuing to listen to Quackity to respond
"Kind of. We're studying like the legalities of the case. The charges that he's racked up are.. severe to say the least."
Carson nodded her head in agreement
"You're telling me."
She said in a joking manor, getting laughs out of both men before the call fell back into a silence.
