Carson went up to her room to find something to wear to the zoo. She glanced at the bag of clothes on her bed, ignoring it and turning to the photos on her desk and picking up the one on top. She had almost forgot they were in here.
Carson set the photos down and went back to the bag in order to get dressed.
She grabbed a red t-shirt and a pair of black leggings to match with her school shoes. Once she was dressed she walked back over to her photos and looked through them again. Stopping briefly at the fourth one. The photo of her at the zoo.
Mr. Morrison's favorite animal was elephants. Thats why he posed in front of them. Mrs. Morrison's favorite one was lions, some where lost in time there was a photo of her and Carson laughing in front of the lion den.
Carson quickly turned around when she heard a creak in the floor boards. Standing a few feet behind her was Tommy, with Techno at the doorway holding in a laugh. Tommy's mood shifted to upset when Carson was facing him. She looked at the boy for a second before speaking, keeping the photo behind her slightly.
"Hey Tom, Tech, what do you two need?"
"Oh Tommy wanted to scare you."
The blonde boy scoffed and looked at Techno angrily
"No i wasn't! Dad told us to come get her. Don't lie Techno."
"Dad did tell us to come get her and you said you wanted payback for all the times shes scared you. I told him not to."
Carson started laughing lightly at the fight. Accidentally revealing the photo she was holding behind her back.
The two boys immediately took notice of this photo, starting to ask who it was. But when they caught onto how defensive Carson got, both dropped it just as quickly as the began.
Techno looked at Tommy and he understood exactly what he meant, leaving the room and going back downstairs to the others.
"I'm sorry if we upset you kid. Tommy can be a bit impulsive and i.. can be as well."
The brown haired boy hesitated towards the end. Clearly he didn't want to admit he had any flaws, but then again who does.
Carson put the photo down for a brief second before picking it back up and holding onto it tighter
"Its okay Tech. I'd probably be curious too."
She held the picture out to show the boy slightly, making sure it never fully left her grip.
"It's my first foster family. They passed away a while ago. But they were the first and only people to ever take me to the zoo."
Techno nodded his head. Never making a move to grab the photo since Carson seemed very uncomfortable with anyone but her touching it.
"We should visit the elephants while we're there for sure."
Carson put the picture back down on her desk and nodded at Techno's statement.
