Today was the last day of school! I can't believe this school year is actually over! This year seemed really fast for some reason. Now it's less than two weeks until my birthday! It seems like just yesterday, I started school, and now it's over.

I'm going to be taking care of Julia's hamster for the next week because she's going on a trip. I will also celebrate my birthday. That's about all I have planned so far.

Here is my updated list of stuff I want to do:

Make a list of stuff I would like for my birthday and send it to my family

Learn how to cook

Maintain friendships

Read more books

Redecorate my room

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I am so excited. I have to get ready for my birthday party soon, so I can't write for very long. 5 of my friends are coming to my party. Linda, Asa, Theo, Emma, and my bestie-for-almost-a-decade (her fake name is Andrea). I'm doing laser tag. I hope it's fun!

Okay, my party is done. It was SO fun. When I got there, Emma and Theo were already there. I said hi to them while my mom set up the party room. Then we waited for everyone else to come. Luckily, they all did. I also invited Sky and Khloé, but they couldn't go. Then we started the laser tag game. Emma kept telling me how she thought the employee was cute. In my opinion, he was ugly. I'm starting to wonder if her eyes actually work. The we played a game of laser tag. We probably lost. During the game, I literally LOST my earring. The $300 white gold ones. I almost started crying and had to get all my friends to help me because I knew my parents would have killed me if I lost those earrings (FYI I don't have another pair or anything. We didn't find it, so Emma volunteered to help me go back in and search for it.

In the end, I ended up finding it. After that, we had pizza, played another game of laser tag, and had cupcakes. My friends also sang the most messed up happy birthday song ever. I couldn't even tell what they were saying. It's fine. We're all weird. I also opened all my presents. Most of my friends gave me gift cards, which I kind of had to pretend to be thankful for. I don't like receiving gift cards. It always makes me think people are too lazy to get an actual gift. Linda was the only one who actually gave me a gift. She gave me a notebook and a fancy pen.

**I know I sounded really ungrateful when I mentioned the thing about the gift cards, and I apologize

After the party, I went back home for my pool party with my family. it was pretty boring.

Author's Note: The reason this chapter is really short is because those were the last two entries before my 6 month break. I started writing again on January 19 2023, so the next chapter will start there.

As always, thank you very much for reading my story!
