Chapter 13

Friday February 10 2023

More stuff happened involving Emma and John. During class, they played a round of chopsticks together. John was blushing and staring at Emma the whole time. He looked really stupid.

At last recess, I was talking with Emma and Cora, and I saw JOHN walking over. Most likely to talk to Emma. Aiden was also with him. John said to Emma that he wanted to talk to her about something in private, so they went away and had their little chat while Aiden, Cora, and I tried (but failed) to eavesdrop. We weren't very successful. After they came back, John asked Emma if it was okay if he told Aiden about what they were talking about. Emma said it was fine as long as she could tell Cora and I. I love being the person she tells everything. The two of them agreed on that, so she told us. Emma said that her and John were talking about the two of them. You know, because they both like each other and whatever. Then they said they were officially dating.

Also, during lunch I accidentally almost kind of hinted to Emma that I liked someone. it was the stupidest mistake ever. We were playing truth or dare and she asked me if I liked anyone. My answer was "If I liked someone, I wouldn't tell you. No one would know because I would keep it a secret". Luckily, she's kind of stupid sometimes, so she didn't get it.

That's what happened at school. Emma also said she's going to update her story, but I don't think she will. She's probably going to forget.

I have updates on Emma and John. Nothing else interesting is happening in my life right now. Emma and John is all that's really happening these days. So, John asked Emma on a date (kind of). They're just going to the park to hang out and talk or something. However, I GET TO GO. It's only because Emma needs a cover for why she's going to the park. That's where I come in. She made me promise to leave them alone or something like that. That's kind of rude but I understand why she would want that.

I also have some updates (?) on Aiden. We've kind of been talking a lot lately and I'm slightly freaked out, even though I do still like him. Speaking of that, he's been trying to make me guess who he likes. I told him I don't even want to know (but I actually really wanted to know). It was almost like he wanted me to know. I know that isn't true, though. I did ask him if he still likes Khloé because I know he used to. He said no.

Maybe I can start an investigation or something.

I. Am. Dead. Let me explain. So I started posting my diary entries and stuff on Wattpad for fun. Mostly for my friends to read. They liked it, so I felt like I had a purpose in life.

I knew from the start that other people were going to find out somehow. Today I discovered that someone in my class (fake name Walter) FOUND IT. Of all people, it HAD to be him. He started talking to me and then just randomly asked me if I was on Wattpad. I said I didn't know what it was. He didn't believe me for a second and called me a liar. Then I said "Only a loser would write stuff about their life and post it online". He didn't believe that either. He just said "You're calling yourself a loser".

Then Aiden came over. He started saying how he knew about it too. Walter said that Aiden had told him about it.

The question was, HOW DID AIDEN FIND IT?

Every time Walter walked by me in the hall, he would whisper "Wattpad user" to me. Sky was the only one of my friends that took this issue seriously. The rest didn't care. At recess, we talked about how Aiden could have found my account. Our prime suspects were Theo and Khloé (who were both absent today). That seemed like the kind of thing Theo would do. There was also a recent incident with Khloé sharing her screen on a FaceTime call and Aiden seeing stuff about the story. Sky suggested that I kick Aiden or something. I kind of wanted to, but I didn't since it's not nice to kick the person you like. 

For the rest of the day, whenever Aiden was near me, Sky would look at me like "Are you going to do it?". I obviously didn't.

After swim practice, I saw some messages in my group chat with Sky, Theo, and Khloé. Sky had told them about what happened with Walter. Then I joined the conversation and we talked about it for a while. They suggested that I text Aiden and demand he tell me about how he found out. Great way to start texting someone I never texted before. I said "How did you find out about the Wattpad. Tell me now or I'll kill you"

I'm so nice, right?

He responded a few hours later and said "What is a Wattpad. Walter just said it so I acted like I knew what it was"

(he actually made a ton of errors in those sentences but I physically can't write them. It feels wrong)

Honestly, what Aiden did was kind of stupid. He acted he knew about my Wattpad account and caused me to go crazy! Then we just played darts (on Game Pigeon). I'm kind of glad I didn't do anything to Aiden at school because he turned out not to be involved in this. That doesn't solve how Walter found my account, though.

Okay, now that I'm done ranting about that, I need to figure out what to tell my parents for Wednesday since Emma and John have their park date. 

Also, we're starting a group project tomorrow in groups of three. Maybe I'll have some luck and get put in a decent group.

Author's Note: It seems like I apologize for the long wait in almost every chapter! My friends were bothering me about updating my story for a while, and I finally had time to do it. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and stay tuned for more!
