It was now five more days left until the shift I knew I could make it, but I also knew I could die. I was not very happy, because I was woken up at 3:14 to my alarm clock, then I remembered that last night I accidently set my alarm clock to 3:14 AM and not 11:14 AM.

I was already awake, so I turned it off and got out of bed, my wolf side was half awake when I got up, but now she was fully awake... I sound like a mental whack-job! Gosh!

"Calm down!" I snapped; my wolf side growled at me but did what I said. I threw on shorts and a red top that had a grey flower on it. I pulled on a pair of dark blue sneakers and walked out of my room, down the hall, I heard noises coming from Jason's room. I knocked on the door, he opened it and gave me a smile.

It was sort of weird having to live with Jason, but my parents had let most of the pack to live in the guest rooms, till we moved to a "safer and bigger" area... if needed, I mean, how much bigger can you get?... and want to know something else I found out while waiting to turn or die?... My family BOUGHT our house from the Green family about forty years ago! My parents were younger than Jason who gave/sold for a low... LOW price to them since they were the alphas, and the miles of land that came with the house belonged to my parents as well.

ANYWAYS! Back to reality...

"What are you doing?" I asked him, curiously and confused as I tilted my head to the side trying to look around him, but he kept his hands behind his back, oddly.

"Oh... I fell out of bed." he said... he lied, he was dressed and fully awake... his hair was brushed, for crying out loud!

"Your already dressed, what were you really doing?" I asked, putting a hand on my hip.

"Fine... I broke the handle of my closet door," he said raising a bent handle that had been ripped off,

"Ok... full moon is getting closer." I said wide eyed.

"Yeah, but it has to make werewolves like this?" he said looking a bit sad now,

"What?" I asked, he sat down on his bed, he seemed kind of depressed.

"Four girls that were bitten years ago, died from a full moon... eight out of ten werewolves die," he said.

"I'm not going to die, ok" I said sitting down next to him. I stared at him,

"They ALL say that" he muttered.

"Hey, I'm not dying!" I said grabbing his hand,

"Yeah, but you could" he said,

"Can you please just stop talking like that... it's kind of freaky" I snapped. He looked at me and his eyes started to swirl with silver. I leaned towards him without even knowing, I tried to stop, but it was that she-wolf in me, Jason put his hand on my shoulder, he did not know that this was not me.

I could not speak; she was not letting me. I was inches away from Jason, but that she-wolf was still in control and then Jason did something that made me panic, he shoved me on to his bed and simply watched with only one hand on my shoulder to keep me down.

"Don't move." he hissed, I just lied there, feeling awkward.

He watched me and the she-wolf fight, I was losing, and he knew it, I didn't know what happened until it did, he leaned down and kissed me, the she-wolf's guard went down, and I got the controlling back.

I was weirded out even more!

"Did it work?" he asked, I nodded, staring up at him, he moved to the ground then he shifted, his black fur was so soft, I playfully shoved him down, he made a small growling noise, I smiled at him and ran my fingers through his fur, I loved the way his fur smelled like pine.... Oh great!

"Great!" I groaned, he looked at me worried,

"Senses are advancing." I mumbled, I felt him shift, I looked at him and saw him grinning, I rolled my eyes at him. Senses and mood were the first to 'advance' or get stronger.

"This suck." I groaned.

"Your... growing, that's all." he said, I leaned down, so I was looking directly into his eyes,

"You want to see what else you can do? Don't you" he said, I nodded to him, secretly, I think he was a little more enthusiastic about me changing, than I was... at least I didn't get cramps...

He took me out to the field, where I stood watching him as he glanced at his watch.

"Ok, it's perfect time for this, really... anyways, you wanna play hid and seek?" he asked, smiling, like a little kid.

"What do you mean.... Wait- I thought we were like training, fighting, ya know... that sort of thing?" I asked confused.

"Nah... I just wanted to see if you'd wanna play a kids game... fighting and using a punching bag, gets boring." He shrugged, in his maroon hoodie, he looked kind of adorable in his hoodie and sweatpants... he is normally just all tough guy looking.

"Just us or are we waiting for anyone?" I asked after he gave me an almost pleading look.

Before he could respond, a familiar voice made me look behind me.

"Hey, guys!" Nick... aka mate to Meagan, called in a fake high pitch girlish tone.

"I texted them," Jason smiled faintly, as Meagan and Sky, along with Luke and Nick walked over.

"So, what's the rules of this game?" Nick asked.

"No tag teaming nor alliances... it's like tag and-hide and-go-seek... except played by werewolves." Jason explained.

The game was not childish, well, it was, but it was harder than I thought. There would be a tagger, and one seeker, the seeker could be tagged by the tagger, who could get anyone, the seeker if they found anyone, the person would have to run to a new hiding spot before the tagger or someone else spotted them or before they were tagged... it was like the weirdest game ever... but the others seemed almost used to it.

But of course, they knew how to play, they have probably done it hundreds of times!

It ended up as Skylar as the tagger and Jason as the seeker. Just my luck! (not.)

I glanced over at Jason to see he was staring at me, not in the normal way, when I knew he was... kind of checking me out, but this time it was in a predator, prey type of cold, hungry, killer stare. I knew right then I was dead. I planned to climb a VERY high tree.

But when I bolted, at the sound of Skylar saying 'GO!'... I was mainly running for my life, not like how the others ran because it was fun or whatever... I knew that Jason could get really competitive... word of advice, NEVER let him play dodge ball... he will take someone's head off!

And yes, I did find a tall tree... and yes, I did climb it!

I silently waited, not moving a muscle... even when I saw Jason walk under the tree that I was in, his black furry head looking around. I mentally patted myself on the back, for outsmarting Jason. I watched silently as Meagan snuck by my tree, and then a few seconds later Skylar running after her.

Once the coast was clear, I climbed down and walked past a large boulder, only to get snatched up, I let out a slight scream of pure terror, thinking I was about to die for a game.

But then the someone buried their face in my neck, I could not help, but smile, knowing exactly who it was.

I turned around to see Jason smiling proudly.

"You scare me, you know." I said, smiling at him.

"I know, I love scaring you, though." He said, I punched his in the arm, which I faked not being in pain, as he just raised an eyebrow at me... I had NO upper body strength, ok!

It was an issue!
