  (Clare)

Two days later.

I woke up to see Jason standing by the door, he looked tired.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked sitting up.

"Just came to check on you... I was wondering, what did Natalie say to you?" he asked, walking over to me.

"Just told me about my past and why she hates me." I muttered, he nodded.

"If you're wondering, she didn't lie," he said.

"One thing I don't get, how come I don't remember any of that? I mean I lied to her by saying I'd just thought I'd imagined it," I asked.

"Your parents used a sort of old magic, it caused you to forget the memories of the pack and me, but the memories were replaced by a dog, that's why there is a photo of you and a dog." He explained,

"What did they use? A drug?" I asked, really confused about the whole 'old magic' part.

"No, it wasn't a drug, but it was on a, blood moon, it was their only chance, since that kind of moon comes around only every fifteen years, they then did a sort of secret thing that erased your memories of us wolves," he said, I looked at the ceiling. I did not know it only came every fifteen years, which... meant... they had screwed up my mind only last year... what the hell?!

"Why? Did they not want me to turn?"

"No, it was to protect you, so that no one could use you to get information, also because I asked them to." Jason sighed.

"You what?!"

"I knew that Drake would come for me and Meagan, he knew that you knew about werewolves. Your parents were furious that I had told you about what you really were and what being a pureblood means," he explained, he seemed to be lost in the past.

"What I did was stupid, I shouldn't have told you or even let myself make you lose your own memories... your parents could have killed me for that, I deserved it, I ruined their daughter's chance at have a life that meant no secrets, but I took that from them." Jason continued. I finally had enough of the truth.

"Jason, stop." I muttered.

"I'm sorry," he said, he did not look at me when he left.

I groaned then threw myself backwards onto my bed.

"Clare? You ok?" Meagan asked as she walked into my room.

"Not really... Jason just told me the rest of my past that I forgot about... only last year, which really sucks, cause for nearly two years, I've had fake memories," I said, she sat down on my bed, where Jason had been.

"He never meant for that to happen, if he said your parents were mad, he was lying, they were glad, glad that you had someone they trusted to protect you... They were glad that he told you, that someone told you." She said, I looked at her, confused.

"Then why did he say they were mad?" I asked.

"His wolf side could sense your own wolf side, but it was somewhat locked away, because you weren't bitten... His wolf side choose you, but he knew that was like a death wish, he knew that Natalie wouldn't stop till she had his full attention, so he dated her for a year, but by then you were older, so he ended it. Which ticked her off, and you know the rest." Meagan explained.

She looked at me as if waiting for me to ask her something.

"He said that he told me what I really was and what it meant to be a pureblood." I said, Meagan looked at me, wide eyed.
