 -Jason-

It was three days before the next full moon and it seemed like all hell was about to break loose, not only was the sighting of Drake's pack were getting more and more common, but they did not care if we saw them. They were getting slowly closer and closer, and it was almost time for us to make our move.

Bryan and Josh, along with Nick and I finally agreed on telling the pack about the plan and how it will go down... but that also meant telling them I could not promise a clean fight... I had to tell them some of them would not be going home afterwards.

It was the worst day of my time as Alpha. Even though Clare sat beside me, as I stood looking at the forty or so men and women in the great room of the main house, it was still hard for me to speak.

It took around two hours to explain the plan and answer questions if any.

By the time they all left... quiet, to my dismay, I was ready to just go to sleep and never wake up.

"You ok, boss?" Nick asked quietly as I sat down in front of Clare on the couch as she laid on her side, with her elbow propping her up on the arm of the couch.

"No, I just told them, some of them are going to be dead in barley a few days." I sighed, running my hands over my face.

"Hey, it's not your fault... it won't ever be... besides... it's more of my fault then anyone else's." Clare said, as I looked back over my shoulder at her.

"What?"

"Come on, the girl that didn't listen and went out when she shouldn't have, got bit, then the mean girl got mad and plotted with the bad guy... than the hero guy ends up feeling guilty, even though it was the main girl's fault, and ends up having to fix everything before it's too late.... It is the plot of books, Jason... I am a nerd, I read a lot... I know plots." She explained.

"Or, you could be physic." Nick smiled.

"No." Clare said flatly.

"Buzzkill." He grumbled.

"It's neither of your faults, I made the choice of having your memories changed, so, if we're goanna play the blame game, I'm the one who caused you to not understand when you should've known." Rose said.

Clare fell silent, we both knew Rose was right, but we would never say that to her.

The next day... the patrol that had gone out in the morning, had not come back until two hours after they were supposed to be back... they had been gone for four hours.

Ethan, the guy that Meagan had a LONG time ago turned... cause they had been dating... so, it so was not awkward with Nick and Meagan being with me in the office when he came running in.

"Where were you guys?!" Meagan snapped.

"Drake.... His wolves... attacked us... Hanna was one of them... she is asking for a fight, Jason... Natalie's coming one way or another for Clare and you." He panted.

I shot up and saw Clare standing in the doorway.

"Then we fight." She said, Ethan looked at her and then at me, I nodded and soon the two packs were gathering outside the house.

We divided into the groups and headed out... it was silent and gloomy.

It felt like a death march was happening.

When I looked back to the spot where Clare had been with Meagan and Skylar... they were gone and so was most of the pack.

It was actually happening.

I was leading my pack and Coal's pack, which added to the pressure and stress... because I was leading them to their possible deaths.
