summary (from the last two parts): y/n was seated next to Colby whom she found attractive. after weeks of talking and being friends, y/n figured out she had feelings for colby only to find out he has a girlfriend. after some time, colby finds out that y/n has feelings for him and now he realizes he has feelings for her but she rejections him to protect his girlfriends feelings.

summary (from this imagine): y/n is torn between wanting colby has a boyfriend or just a friend. so she goes up to him in hopes he agrees in wanting to be just friends. after he rejects her, she starts the moving on process, but colby isn't a fan.

{i would like to apologize for this being WAY late. i know that you probably don't care about this request anymore as it was requested almost 8 months ago. i will be honest, i kind of forgot about it. for the first month- i kept going back and adding more and then deleting and editing it which is why it is as long as it is. i also started college so all of my free time went to that. i realized recently that all i was missing was an ending so i decided to rush the ending and to put it out as i knew i needed to finish your request and start another one. hopefully this is good and it was worth the wait.}

WARNINGS: colby is kind of a dick, but he's a sweetheart and apologizes, some small amount of angst, lots of fluff, light smutty stuff like kissing and making out, slight grinding, small boob touching, and just y/n knowing her worth because writers be making these girls run back to guys who fuck them over.i think that's all. idk. 😭🤷‍♀️

(so in the other stories, it made no sense cause i'm pretty sure i made their last period math and that's the class they share but in this one it's gonna be chemistry so this one can make sense and go how i want it to.)

it has been a couple days since the events of colby showing up on your doorstep only for you to reject him happened. you hadn't seen him much at school as you were trying your best to avoid him, you hated confrontation. you knew that you needed to have an actual conversation with him with feelings out of the way because you guys were friends and even if you weren't together romantically, you still wanted him in your life as your friend.

"maybe, oh i don't know, stop avoiding him."
y/bff/n said as she took a chip out of her lay's bag and ate it. she shook the bag trying to find a big chip before sticking her hand back in the bag to pick up another chip. her hand was covered in crumbs as she tried to eat.

"i-i am not avoiding him."
you say with a hint of denial in your voice. you brushed your hair out of your face and itched your head before taking your water bottle to sip on. your food was left to the side as you weren't a fan of what was for lunch whatever it was, you had no idea.

y/bbf/n drops her hand from her bag and puts an unamused look on her face as she stared at you. she let out a sigh and shook her head because continuing to eat her chips. her boyfriend wasn't at school today, so she was acting more sassy and uptight today so you tried not to let the look she gave you affect you.. although it was.

"what? i'm serious."
you say throwing your hands up and shrugging because dropping your hands. you picked up your fork and began eating your lukewarm school lunch that was barely edible, you wouldn't be eating but you skipped breakfast as you woke up late from studying late the previous night.

"right.. and i'm santa claus."
she says rolling her eyes before going back to eating her chips. she eats a chip and then looks up behind you and sees someone walking. her face instantly lit up with a smile and bright eyes, her chest feeling with bubbles.
