Sam's POV

I watched as Hayleigh walked into her house. I smiled a big toothy smile as I know i finally have the girl of my dreams.

I walk back to my car before getting in.

I start it about to drive off when I see Hayleigh left her jacket. I quickly get out of the car with her jacket in my hand and knock on the door.

No answer.

I did it again and still no answer.

I decided to just walk in and I see Colby talking to Hayleigh.

I listen to their conversation.

"I can't tell you. You'll make fun of me and-"
He said.

"I won't make fun of you. You are my best friend."
She said.

"I like Sam."
He says.

"Oh."
She said.

He looks at her.

"It hurt me to see him with Kat and game I found out he broke up with her I was so happy. But now that he's dating you, I'm sad again. But, I will have to grow up and expect the fact that I'm not meant to be with him."
He said.

She hugged him tightly.

He's shoulders started moving showing that he was crying.

"I'm so sorry, Colby. I won't date Sam."
She said.

I felt so bad for Colby. All I want to do is go up to him and hug and kiss him-wait, the fuck I think that for?

He shook his head.

"You can't. You'll break his heart. You can't do that. Please don't do that for me."
He said.

She nods.

"I won't."

I see as Colby whips his tears away and looks at the tv.

"Let's watch a movie."
He says.

She looks at him unsure.

"Okay, I'll get popcorn."
She said.

I quickly rush over.

"Hey, Hayleigh."
I said.

She jumps up in surprise. Colby looks at me and I look at him. His eyes hiding fear of me knowing he likes me.

He falls onto the couch and let's out a whine.

"Sam, w-what are you doing here?"
Hayleigh asks me.

"You left your jacket in my car so I came back to give it to you."
I said.

She nods and I hand it to her.

I look back at Colby as he stares at me. I felt myself blush as I turn my back.

"Wait."
Colby said.
