Brennen and Colby have been dating for around 3 years. They always argue about dumb stuff. Let it be about dirty clothes, dishes, or how Brennen doesn't clean up dog hair from his dog. Colby was yet again cleaning up beer cans from Brennen's seat while Brennen went out with Big Nik and had lunch. Colby was never invited anymore. In the beginning of the relationship, Colby was invited to every party and lunch date. But now, this far into the relationship, Brennen doesn't even say good bye before leaving. Colby tries so hard to keep his feelings inside, but when Brennen comes home late drunk with bruises on his neck; he can't help but think that Brennen doesn't love him anymore. Colby doesn't have the guts to break up with Brennen because he loves him so much, but lately Colby is second guessing his feelings.

Colby was throwing away the beer cans, it was around 12am. Brennen promised to be home three hours ago form a text message and Colby already knew what he was doing but was triggered. Colby was frustrated for the relationship he is in. Brennen was the first relationship Colby had from coming out as gay to is viewers and to himself and friends. Colby set a beer down on the counter for Brennen and began washing the dishes.
30 minutes past and Brennen walks in, looking drunk. Colby dries off his hands and lays eyes on Brennen. His messy hair, his shoes off in his hands, shirt undone, bruises along his neck  it was clear to Colby what happened, but it doesn't hurt him anymore. It happens all the time that it doesn't effect Colby anymore.

"Your late."

"Get off my ass."

Brennen tossed his shoes to the side walking in a zig zag line to the bedroom. Colby let out a groan and slipped on his vans.

"Where the fuck you going?"

Colby turned around and Brennen stood tall with an angered face. When Brennen is drunk, he the abusive type and will hit Colby. Colby normally leaves.

"Going to walk the dog."

"Fuck off then."

And with that Colby walks out with the dog.

Colby walks back in and sets the dog down and went to get a drink.

"I thought you were walking the dog."

Colby set down the water and turned around seeing Brennen sitting on the couch drinking his beer that Colby left out.

"I did. I came back."

Brennen turned off the TV and stood up.

"Well, I'm going to bed."

Before Brennen walked away Colby opened his mouth.

"Do you love me?"

Brennen turned around.

"Why ask such a question?"

Brennen got closer.

"I-I was just asking. Y-you don't need to a-answer."

Brennen went closer to Colby.

"I've never loved you. I just used you for views and sex. Leave and never come back. So fuck off my ass and leave."

And with that Brennen pushed Colby back and left for the bedroom. Colby felt his heartbreak into pieces but no tears came. Colby sat down on the couch thinking.

He's drunk, he doesn't mean it.
He loves me, right?

When Brennen is drunk, he says rude things. So Colby didn't know what to believe, but Colby wanted to leave. He wanted out of this hell hole. So, he waited for  Brennen to fall asleep and packed his bags.
