there have been moments were you walk through school and think to yourself on how alone you are.

but then you realize that you have a best friend, Devyn.

you and Devyn have been best friends for so long.

you moved into town a year or two ago and during this time Devyn ended up moving in town also.

both of you being new kids allowed you two to develop a friendship and form there you two did everything together.

you two were walking a back street to your favorite diner, Aunt Sam's.

it's were you two met.

you ran down the street dancing to your music with Devyn following.

"last one of the diner buys dinner!"
you yell.

you took off running and make it to the booty before she steps inside.

"i hate when you do that."
she laughs sitting across from you.

you take off your book bag and smile before the waitress comes over.

"devyn, y/n. want your regulars?"
she asks.

"yes please, susan."
devyn says.

you took off your book bag and set your phone down.

"so, y/n.. there is something i need to tell you.."
devyn says.

you nod towards her as your milkshakes came.

you began drinking yours as she played with hers.

"well-"

"hey baby."
she got interrupted.

you both look over and see football player, Corey, coming over to you.

your eyes follow his movements as he sits next to devyn, giving her a kiss on the cheek before taking her cherry and eating it looking eyes with you.

"hey, y/n."
he says.

you nod towards him and look at your milkshake in embarrassment.

"this is my boyfriend. i'm sorry i didn't tell you earlier."
she says.

you know she wasn't sorry. she had all day to tell you.

"nah, it's all good. just didn't know oh had interest in him.. you've never really talked about him or dating people."
you say.

"there are some stuff i keep to myself, y/n."
she says letting out a chuckle.

you nod feeling your heart ache.

"hey, we still on for the movies?"
corey asks.

"yeah."
she responded.

she began gathering up her stuff and scooted to the edge of the seat.

"i thought we were going to have dinner then go back to my house and binge the vampire diaries."
you said.

"we do that so much, besides i already promised him. next time."
she says before leaving.

you let out a small sigh and left a $20 on the table before leaving.

you began walking down the road, feeling the cold air on your skin.
