You have always been a happy person. Always the life of the party. You made anyone smile. But that was until one day yo I went to the doctors and found out some news.

You were about 16 when you went over to your friends house. You guys were running around playing with the dog when you felt like you were going to pass out. You stopped running and felt a spinning movement. You collapsed on the ground and passed out. You later woke up in the hospital. You saw your mom and your Y/BFF/N and her mom standing next to your bed.
"Mom?"
You asked
She looked at you and grabbed your hand and released a sigh.
"Get the doctor"
Y/BFF/N nods and walks out.
"What happened?"
The doctor walks in.
"Miss Y/N Y/L/N?"
"Yes."
The doctor nods.
"Seems you were dehydrated. Make sure to drink lots of water. But we also found something.."
You looked confused.
"We found a tumor. On your brain. In your blood results. It seems to be a Grade 2 so it will be easy to remove. No need to worry."
The doctor says and walks out the door. You sit there. You were in shock.

Couple times after that you began having seizures. They said it was because you were working your brain out so you got removed from school. You graduated early and stayed with your mom and dad.

It was now 3 years later and you still had it. The doctor says that if it gets worse to contact him, but nothing happened. You were thinking about the doctor and your cancer when you noticed someone was trying to get your attention.
"Yes? I'm so sorry."
"No. It's ok. I was just asking if I could sit here since not many tables are open"
The boy smiles. You nod and move your bag and laptop.
"I'm Sam"
"I'm Y/N"

You guys talked for hours in the cafe. You guys started going out and you guys ended up dating. You guys dated for a year before he said something that made you tell him the truth, about you.

You were outside with Sam watching the fireworks that we're getting set off for the Fourth of July. You looked in awe as to remember the beautiful colors thinking if yo I will ever see them again.
"I love you"
You looked over at Sam in shock.
"W-what"
You stuttered.
"I love you"
He said again.
You looked at him. You didn't know what to say. You didn't want him to fall in love with you, you never thought the relationship would last this long. You thought he would break up with you or that the cancer would take you.
"I'm sorry Sam..."
Sam frowns. You look into his eyes and all you see is hurt.
"Y-you don't l-love me?"
He was beyond hurt. Your heart aches for him.
"Of course I love you, it's just.."
"What"
"I need to tell you the truth and the truth only."
You were finally going to tell him.
You sighed. Your heart was beating fast. Too fast. It scared you.
"I have brain cancer. Grade 2. It is curable with a surgery. They say that in 5 years I will be able to have the surgery if it isn't as bad until then. And I'm on year 4."
He looks at me.
"And I didn't want to you to have a heartbreak from me if I didn't survive the surgery."
Sam frowns and grabs a hold of my face.
"I love you. I won't stop. No matter what. I will be there for you."
You smile and kiss him.
"I love you too"

It was now time for you to get a scan for your cancer. You laid down as they ran you under the scan. You walked in the room and fell. Sam ran up next to you.
"S-Sam."
You said because your eyes rolled back into your head as you began to shake as a seizure happened.
Sam didn't know what to do.
"Y/N!" He yelled.
You stopped and began screaming as another one was happening.
Your parents ran in.
"Get the doctor"
Sam nods and runs to find him.
You were on your third and you kept screaming. It hurt you so bad. It felt like your brain was melting.
You stopped screaming and passing out.
"Move please"
The doctor took you away and entered you into a room so you can have your surgery done.

Four hours later the doctor got your parents.
"We tried to remove it all. But it seems to have spread across her whole brain"
"Meaning?"
Sam asks.
"I think it's time for you to say good bye"
Sam's heart stopped. It felt like he was going to pass out. He can't lose you. He understood that you had the cancer, but he thought it wasn't that bad. He began walking and turned into your room. You had no hair which meant you had your survey. You had a beanie cap in so you couldn't see the scar on your head. Sam ran up and hugged you.
"I love you"
He says with tears.
"I love you too"
You say smiling at him.
"In my last moments of life, I will remember you and your face. I will remember your love. I will remember your everything. I want to thank you for making my last years alive the best. I love you."
You grab ahold of Sam's hand and kissed it. You felt sleepy. Like you were going to fall asleep, but you knew the truth. You knew that once you closed your eyes you wouldn't be able it open them. That you wouldn't be able to see your loved ones. To see Sam. You would never be able to get married or to have kids or to see your grandkids. You wouldn't get your happy ending, but at least Sam is here next to you making the last moments on Earth that you have special. You couldn't hold your eyes open anymore is you closed them. You saw your live flash through your eyes as your life drained away from you. Sam noticed this and felt your hand go limp. He let go of you sobbing. He wouldn't have his happy ending with the love of his life. He will always have a whole in his heart that can't be filled. He will live you on in memory.
