Hayleigh's POV

things have felt differently lately. i don't know why it happened, but it did.

sam, well, he's dating me and i love him, but i don't think he feels the same way.

we've been together for roughly three years, but once we reached that third year he's been acting differently.

he met someone, i know it.

he talks to them all the time, i know that because well i met them.

at the time i met the person, they were really "together" or anything.

now, he seems to be invested with this one person and not in me and i'm his girlfriend.

i was sitting down on my couch looking at the clock, 12:00am.

great.. i thought.

i played with my fingers in the dark waiting for sam to open the door.

and speaking of the devil he did.

"sam.. you're late."
i said.

he looked up from taking off his shoes.

"i'm sorry, i was with a friend and got carried away with time."
sam said.

"are you cheating on me?"
i asked.

sam looked at me and sat down.

"no way. i would never, babe."
he says pulling me into his grasp.

i pull away and sigh.

"then who have you been talking to?"
i asked.

he looked down.

"that's.. that's colby."
he says.

i nod my head for him to continue.

"promise you won't be mad."
he says.

i nod.

"i promise.."
i said unsure.

he looks at me and shuts his eyes and breathes in before breathing out and opening them.

"i'm nervous."
he says.

"don't be, i'm here."
i say grabbing his hand.

"i-i'm gay.."
he says.

i pull away and look at up. 

"oh?"
i asked.

he nods.

"lately i have found myself more attracted to guys. one guy being.."

"colby."
i interrupted.

he nods.

"i've been trying to find the right way to tell you."
he says.

i look at him with tears in my eyes.

"b-but i love you."
i say.

he frowns.

"and i love you, you were one of the only girls i found myself attracted to, but i feel something so big, so pure for colby."
he confessed.

"so you cheated?"
i asked.

he shook his head.

"no. not at all. i talked of him and he helped me express myself more. i changed my style if you noticed."
he says.

i shrug.

"i just feel more me. i love you, hayleigh."
he says.

i wipe my tears and smile.

"i'm so happy for you."
i say to him.

"you are?"
he asks.

"yeah. absolutely. even if we aren't together you are still an amazing person and i hope you get nothing then amazing memories with colby."
i say.

he smiles and hugs me.

"i'm so sorry you had to find out like this."
sam says.

"so talk to me. explain everything..."

this one was short but sweet because i didn't know how to write it and wanted to get something out.
