A/N; I tried for a slightly longer one, also its freezing cold were I live right now and I have no romance in my real life so this is the closest I can get to it.
Enjoy
It was only October but it was already freezing. Everyone was wearing like three jumpers and long jeans or thick sweatpants already. I was no exception. Thick black jeans, my camp half blood shirt under a woolly black hoodie and a large camo jacket, along with my army boots. I was heading back from sword training when I walked past the stables. There was a girl with blonde, straight hair that fell just below her collar bones. She was wearing blue jeans and a brown knitted sweater. I wondered how she wasn't shivering then I realised she was. She was untaking one of the pegasi, putting its saddle on the stand. When she turned around I saw her eyes were dark brown in colour, her skin beautifully olive, and her lips a soft pink. I headed over before she left. She was washing the muck of her hands when I said.
'You're gonna get yourself sick without a jacket.'
She turned around slightly startled then relaxed. She laughed 'Yeah, I know, but two of my siblings stole most of my jumpers, Hermes kids, you know how they're like, and the last one I've got has mud all over it.' She motioned to the side of the Pegusi where a very muddy jacket hung, there was bark stuck to some parts and leaves in the other. The mud was already hardening, definitely couldn't be worn. I felt so bad for her, looking at her face more closely I realised there was a shade of red over her nose and cheeks.
'What's your name?' I ask, taking off my camo jacket.
'Y/n, and yours?' She looked at me like I was crazy. I just smirked.
'Clarisse La Rue, here.' I held the jacket out for her.
'Oh I couldn't. I'll just steal my jumpers back.'
'Just take it, you're shivering. Plus, I've got like five other jackets and hoodies back in my cabin so I don't mind parting with this one.' She smiled then took the jacket. She put her arms through it, holding the collar close to her neck.
'Thank you Clarisse.'
'Anytime, Y/n. See ya around.' I walk towards my cabin to get ready for lunch.
It was two days later, I was in the cafeteria for lunch with my siblings. We were talking strategy for capture the flag when one of them asked me. 'Hey, why is Y/n wearing your jacket?'
I looked over to the Hermes table, realising that she was in fact still wearing it. Her hair was now in two braids and she had paired my jacket with the black hoodie that was covered in mud two days ago. I smiled to myself slightly at the sight of her wearing my clothes. One of her siblings pointed out I was looking at her, making her turn to see for herself. As soon as we made eye contact her cheeks went as red as they were when she was in the stables then she quietly turned back to her siblings. I turned back to mine explaining 'she was cold the other day and I gave it to her to keep her warm. Nothing special, now we need to beat the Apollo cabin for tonight.'
Capture the flag was a success, all throughout dinner my cabin cheered and celebrated. At one point two of my brother pushed me onto a table and yelled 'speech, speech, speech'
'I would like to thank our father for creating such awesome kids. And also thank the Apollo cabin for making it so easy.' I laughed, as I did I noticed Y/n in the crowd smiling at me. She turned to grab some water so, naturally, I followed. Kidding it wasn't natural following a girl that pretty. Normally I just avoid them and hope they think I'm cool, but this time was different. She was wearing my jacket, the jacket I was known for at camp. Everyone knew she was mine, that meant I had a window open and I was not going to let it close. She was filling up her cup at the water cooler, so I leaned on the wall next to her. 'I take it you like the jacket?'
She turned to me, then looked down at the camo jacket over her black hoodie. She had on baggy blue jeans and an ABBA shirt on. She looked back at me smiling. 'Yeah, is there a problem with that? Or is this your attempt at asking for it back?'
'No, no. Keep it, looks better on you anyway.' I say, looking her up and down. Honestly it did. She blushed a little bit, looking down at the floor with a smile over her lips. I laughed a bit at her reaction, at how flustered she was by a simple complement like that. It made me wonder how flustered I could make her if I did or said something else. 'Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise the floor was more interesting than mine.' I joked. She laughed, looking back up to me, her cheeks still stained a subtle red.
'It's definitely not.'
'Y/n, do you have a boyfriend, partner... girlfriend?' I asked, her eyes widened before answering.
'No, no, not at all or in anyform.'
'Good, so would you mind if I kissed you?'
'No.' Was all she said, I laughed a bit. Putting my hand on her jaw and pulling her close to me. My lips pressed against hers, her hands travelling to my neck as mine moved down to her waist. I pulled her close to me as her fingers ruffed the hair at the base of my head. After a few seconds she pulled away, her breathing heavy, her eyes looking into mine. A smile creeped onto her face before she giggled slightly. She rested her head on my shoulder for a second before I asked.
'Are you free tomorrow?'
'Yes, why?' She mumbled into my neck.
'Good, meet me at the big house at 12.' She lifted her head from my shoulder, looking me in the eyes again then nodding. I smiled, then pulled her in for another kiss.
