Wrong room

I sat in my dorm room, wiping the dark navy paint onto my nails. I didn't have any classes today so I slept in. My roommate, Annabeth, has been at her boyfriend's dorm all day and said she was staying at his for the night so I had the dorm to myself. I was planning on having a chill me day without anyone else so I was only wearing grey sweatpants and a blue v neck tank top. I had Brooklyn 99 playing on my laptop as I sat cross legged on my bed and coloured in my nails. Then there was a knock on the door.

'It's open.' I call out continuing painting my nails, thinking Annabeth had just left something. I heard the door open then someone cleared their throat. I look up to see a buff, rugby player looking girl standing in the doorway looking very uncomfortable. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest, her curly hair pulled back with a red bandanna. She was wearing blue ripped jeans and a baggy queen shirt. Her skin was a beautiful shade of almond and her eyes a dark hazel colour. 'Can I help you?'

She shook her head slightly like she was trying to get an awful thought 'sorry. I must have the wrong room. Do you know where Annabeth Chase's dorm is?' She seemed embarrassed of herself. I laughed to myself slightly before closing my laptop and putting the bottle of nail polish down.

'She's my roommate, right now she's at her boyfriend's dorm, Percy Jackson. Room 709.'

'Oh, good to know. She said she could help me with something as I had a free day.' She huffed, rubbing her neck.

'I'm not as smart as Annabeth but I might be able to help, what was it you needed help with?'

'Military history?' She tilted her head slightly then giggled softly as my face dropped and I shook my head. 'It's alright darling. I'll just find Annabeth tomorrow or something. Don't want to walk in on whatever her and Percy are doing.'

'That's fair.' I laughed at her joke. I know I planned on having a day to myself but she seemed a little lonely. 'If you want, you can stay and watch a show with me?'

Her face lit up a little and her lips curved into a subtle smile. 'You sure?'

'Yeah of course. I'm Y/n, daughter of Janus.' I jumped over to the other side of my bed, making space for her. She awkwardly walked over and sat down on the edge of my bed.

'Clarisse, daughter of Ares.'

I opened my laptop again and pressed play. Clarisse moved slightly closer to me but still seemed a bit uncomfortable, I don't think she meets new people often. My hand was resting on the quilt next to me, keeping me steady.

'I like your nails.' She whispered. I looked over to her as she ran her thumb over my fingers. I felt my face warm up and my breath quicken.

'Oh thanks. Just finished painting them.' I smiled at her, hoping my cheeks weren't flushing too much. 'I've got red if you'd like.'

She looked up from my hand, with an expression of confusion. 'You want to paint my nails? Sorry but I don't really do that.'

'Okay, I just thought you'd look pretty with red nails.' I teased. Her eyes widened and, I swear, her face turned slightly red.

'Well if you think that, then I suppose I can break my rule.' She smirked at me. Was I really flirty with a girl I just met?

I jumped over her to my bedside table, grabbing a bottle of red nail polish.

As I did her nails I tried to not react to her staring at me but it was hard. Her eyes were glued on me. Usually staring at my face but I was just able to see her eyes drop down to my chest once or twice. I couldn't decide if it was a curse or a blessing that I wasn't wearing a bra under my tank top.

'There all done and very pretty.' She smiled at her once her nails were dry. She held up her hands inspecting them. She smirked and then looked at me.

'Annabeth should tell me to come over when she's not here more often.' she joked. I couldn't help but laugh and nod in agreement. Her hand landed on my knee, making circles with her thumb.

'So, are you and Annabeth close?' I ask, trying not to focus on her hand.

'Yeah, we, ah, grew up at camp half blood together training and stuff. You were at camp Jupiter right?' She said in a soft, calming, really attractive voice.

'Yeah.' My voice shakes as I spook. What was with this girl? I looked down, watching her thumb draw circles on my thigh. Even though I was wearing sweatpants, I could feel every tiny way her hands moved.

She moved her knuckle under my chin, tilting my head back up to look at her.

'Don't go getting shy on me now darling.' She whispered. Her face was badly inches away from mine. I could feel her warm breath on my lips. She steps her fingers to my neck, gently caressing it.

'Please kiss me then.' I ask her, deciding not to be shy.

She smirks at me softly. 'Of course darling.'

She pressed her lips to mine, her hand on my neck staying where it was whilst her other hand rested itself on my hip. I moved my hands to hold her jaw and our lips moved perfectly in time.

After a few moments she pulled away and pressed a quick peck on my cheek, then my jaw line, then right below my ear before whispering. 'When does your last class finish tomorrow?'

'11:30, in block seven.' I answer.

'I'll see you then and take you out for lunch, how does that sound darling?'

'Sounds like a plan.' I tried to keep myself composed but it was hard, having her whispering in my ear, feeling her breath on my neck, her hands were they were, I was lucky I was still breathing.

She moved away from my neck, smirking at me then pressing her lips against me again. The moment was ruined though when I heard the door opening.

'Hey Y/n, forgot to mention that a girl might be coming by, just tell her to ca-' Annabeth's voice said from the door. I pulled away from Clarisse quickly, turning to the door seeing my roommate standing there, completely dumbfounded. 'Never mind I see you've met her. See you tomorrow.'

Annabeth awkwardly closed the door and Clarisse and I just started laughing.
