Reid takes pity on Hannah's paling face and decides it's time to interject. "It only caused Milton to fall into a slump when it was something really off. Right, Kenneth?"

Once Kenneth mulls it over and slowly nods, Reid turns back to Hannah with a smile and says cheerfully, "Well, what was it about? Maybe it was just a normal dream, and we're jumping to conclusions."

"Oh, uh..." Hannah rubs her cheek. She looks at Kenneth, but the glare the man's giving her isn't the comfort she's looking for, because she glances at Reid a moment later and relaxes at the sight of his warm smile. "It wasn't off—well, kind of. This girl in my dream, Francine. She was being..." Hannah seems to be looking for a word, mouth opening and closing before deciding on whispering, "Tormented."

"She was being tortured?" Kenneth asks with a sudden calm seriousness that only comes out when he's about to go into battle.

"No. It wasn't...well, I don't know how to interpret it. It was..."

Reid pauses with the rim of his coffee cup against his lips as he holds Hannah's gaze, and the silent struggle behind her chestnut eyes speaks volumes. He clears his throat and says, "Not tortured."

Reid meets Kenneth's confused gaze and repeatedly tips his head to the side, trying to get the point across without words.

It doesn't work; Kenneth grows tenser and tenser as they stare at each other, and Reid places his now empty coffee cup against the table with a soft thud. He sighs and says, "Kenneth, she's saying it was a sex thing."
