Ashton swore he loved me. I believed him. That was my worst mistake.

I never believed in love at first sight until I met Ashton. I was in love instantly, I couldn't help but be attracted to him, he was so sweet and his personality was everything anyone would look for in a person, and his looks were just a plus.
I loved him and he loved me, or so I thought. He made me believe that I was his world, how could I be so wrong?

I came home one day from work not expecting to see what I saw. "Ashton? Babe?" I yelled as I was walking to our bedroom. Once I stopped outside the door I hesitated before opening the door, I slowly turned the door handle to see Ashton with someone else, more specifically a female in our bed. What a cliche thing to see.

I wasn't even surprised, I knew that this would have happened eventually, Ashton and I have been growing apart recently and we've been fighting more often, I knew one of us would have done this, I had a feeling it would be him though because I don't think I would have the heart to do something this cruel.

I stood there with a blank expression on my face, all I could say is two words. "Get out" I said calmly while breathing deeply. "Luke, look....I can explain" Ashton said hastily, I shook my head "no Ashton, I don't want an explanation, I want you and this whore to get the fuck out of my house!" I said a little louder now. Ashton didn't even try after I said that, he just left. I waited till I heard the front door close to fall to my knees and start sobbing, I couldn't let Ashton see me so vulnerable.

That was the day I decided. I decided to end my life, not with something simple like pills or a razor blade to the wrist, something more dramatic to make a statement, I want to let him know that what he did to me hurt. It's not for anyone's attention but his. If I can't have him then I don't wanna live anymore. So I took a trip to suicide bridge. It's called suicide bridge for a reason. It's famous for the hundreds of people who have jumped off of it. Today it's getting another victim. I was thinking of all of the things Ashton used to say to me.

"I love you. I'll never leave you and I swear to you sweetheart that you will never be alone."
Lie number one
" you're my everything Luke, you're my one and only forever and always."
Lie number two
"I want to spend eternity with you baby, you're all I need to be happy."

I finally reached my destination, and my intention is to just jump without thinking about it, but knowing me I'll probably just stand there for a really long time until someone comes to tell me my life is worth more. I climbed over the rail and stood there feeling the wind burning through my skin, pushing me toward the water telling me to just do it. I heard a gasp and saw a young blond girl, she looks familiar but I don't know where I've seen her.

Then I see Ashton walk up next to her and realize that it's the slut that was in my bed with him. I felt the tears stream down my face and I heard Ashton yell "LUKE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" And I heard my breath falter "if I can't have you...then I don't want to be alive, Ashton." I said calmly, I was ready. "Luke! Don't you dare do it! I love you! I have always loved you, I swear!" He yelled and took a step closer

"when are the lies going to stop Ashton? You keep saying that you love me...you keep swearing on it...and I keep believing you! You made me believe that I was someone special!" I yelled and started to lean back a little bit. "Luke! You have to believe me when I say I love you, because it's always true! I swear that you are my world, I swear that you are my one and only, I swear that I can't live without you!" Ashton screamed, tears streaming down his face. "Then why did you do it? Why did you fuck her?!" I screamed feeling lightheaded. He sat there and pondered the question. He took too long and before I let go all I could say is two words.

"Goodbye, Ashton."
And I swear that I saw him falling too.
