A christmas to remember-muke

Luke and Michael have been together for two years now and Michael knew for sure that they loved each other. Despite people telling them not to be together they were still going strong and didn't let anyone tear them apart. They've been through hell and back together and Michael knew that now was the time to prove that he loved Luke.

It was Christmas Eve and Luke and Michael were decorating their Christmas tree. "I think there are more ornaments in the bedroom, I'll be back" Mikey said before exiting the room. Luke continued to decorate the tree with multiple different ornaments and each one is special to him, like the guitar ornament, it was the first one that Michael and Luke bought together seeing as they both play guitar. When Michael returned he stood by the doorway watching his boyfriend stare fondly at the ornament. "I remember that day so clearly" Michael said as Luke turned around startled by Michael's voice, "I do too, it was our first ornament, that was the first Christmas I spent with you and the boys, that was the day I knew I was in love with you" Luke said. Michael came up behind Luke as he was putting the guitar ornament on the tree and wrapped his arms around his waist.

The tea kettle started to whistle so Mikey quickly went to go make the tea as Luke continued to decorate the tree, but he saw an ornament that he's never seen before, he picked it up and then all of a sudden dropped it and gasped because he though he broke it, but when he picked it up he wasn't expecting to see what he saw. He saw a ring inside and gasped again "babe?" He yelled and Michael came in with the tea and his eyes went wide. "Aww crap Lucas...you ruined the surprise...well since you've already seen it...will you marry me?" Luke was lost for word all he could do is nod because he was too busy crying, Michael set down the tea and Luke ran and jumped into Michael's arms.

There they were standing in the middle of their living room, Luke's arms around Michael's neck and his legs wrapped around Michael's waist they were passionately kissing, they felt infinite, like nothing could stop them. "I love you baby" Michael whispered, "I love you too...so so much" Luke replied and hugged him tightly. Michael then set him down and grabbed his hands "I had this whole speech planned and I'm not going to waste it so here it goes." Michael took a deep breath and began to speak again

"I didn't rehearse anything because that felt too fake so everything that I'm about to say is coming from the heart, okay so when we first met I hated you...I only felt that way because I knew that you were a much better person than I was and I loved you for it, you have such a big heart and you loved everyone but I knew that you could never love a guy like me and I hated it, so I dealt with it by saying that I hated you, you are my everything...you keep me grounded...I'm never homesick because you are my Home...without you I would be lost with no where else to go.

You see There are dreamers and there are realists in this world, you think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not the opposite is true. See the dreamers need the realists to keep the dreamers from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists? Well without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground. I'm glad we found each other...you're the only one I want to be with. You. Are. My. World." Michael and Luke were now crying and holding each other in each others arms. "You mean the world to me Michael, I will always love you" and that night like and Michael fell asleep happily engaged.
