Ashton's POV-
So let's start from the beginning of the day, It was a hot summers day, August 1st to be exact, today was the day that I was going to propose to my girlfriend of 2 years. Today two years ago was the day she became my one and only so tonight on stage I'm going to ask the girl that I am madly in love with to spend the rest of her life with me.

"Babe? Have you seen my iron maiden shirt?" I yelled right before she walked in wearing the iron maiden shirt that I was looking for. "No...I have not..." She slowly backs away as I chuckled fondly "oh well, whatever, nevermind. I'll just wear a different shirt" I said as she came back into the room "good because I wasn't going to take it off anyway, it smells like you." She said and smiled while snuggling into my shirt and I smiled and walked over to her and hugged her "I love you so much" I said quietly. She smiled and whispered "I love you too, baby."

"Well the boys and I have to go to sound check now...I don't wanna be late. I'll see you at the show tonight?" I said and she nodded "see you later!" I yelled as I ran out to the bus to meet the boys.

***at sound check***

I stood there nervously as I spoke "would you guys help me propose to (Y/N) tonight at the show?" I said and they all looked at me with shocked faces "holy shit bro! How long have you been waiting to do this?" Calum said I chuckled "since the day I met her." I responded. Luke and Michael cooed "awww that's so cute!" I laughed and said "you're such girls!" They then gave me an angry look "we're just hopeless romantics!" Luke yelled. I laughed "okay okay! Whatever you say lover boy."

***At the show***
Luke started talking into the mic "so today we were asked for help from our friend" and the crowd went wild for some reason. Once they quieted down Luke continued "so Ashton can you come up here please?" He said and once again everyone cheered. I walked up to Luke's microphone and began to talk "so my girlfriend is here today! Can we get her up here?!" Everyone screamed and I looked to the left side of the stage as she came up. She came and stood next to me "this is my girlfriend, (Y/N)! She's beautiful isn't she?" The crowed erupted into screams. "we're going to sing a song to her today."
I said as someone from backstage brought a chair up to the stage for her to sit in.

This one is called "beside you" I said and everyone screamed as we started the song and I looked at her sitting there. She looked so beautiful. Josh Devine was playing my drums while I was singing to her. I walked up and stood right I front of her.

"Within a minute I was all packed up
I've got a ticket to another world
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go"

I sang getting all choked up, remembering how much I didn't want to leave her to go on tour but I knew I had to.

"Don't ever leave," she said to me"

I was thinking about all of the times she begged me to stay when I had to leave for tour.

"When we both fall asleep underneath the same sky.

I could see the tears well up in her eyes as I sang. She never knew that this song was about her.

"She sleeps alone.

The boys and I sang this part together, this song reminds me of how badly that I wanted to go home to be with her because I knew she wasn't getting any sleep when she slept alone.

"Another day and I'm somewhere new.
I made a promise that I'll come home soon.

I told her that I would be home in about a month and she told me it wasn't soon enough. She was crying now as I was singing.

I was almost home, I knew that I was so close to her but it wasn't close enough. I just wanted to rewind to the day before I left and make that day better than it was.

We started singing together again, I watched her cry and I lifted her chin up to look at me.

And they're shining as we fade into the night"

I'm absolutely in love with this girl, I can't help but cry along with her.

"She sleeps alone.

I stopped singing while the boys continued. I needed to collect myself.

I never want to leave her alone again.

I don't want her to ever have sleepless nights.

And I never want her to sleep alone again.

I sang the last part by myself and by this point she was in my arms crying. I was crying with her and I spoke into the mic, "okay baby girl, I have something I need to say." I said and she sat back down trying to wipe away her tears. I smiled at the thought of our future together.

"Two years ago today I asked this beautiful girl to be my girlfriend. I remember looking at her and thinking 'wow, I wanna have a future with her' and I remember it hurting so badly when I saw her in pain or when I saw her crying. I remember laughing with her when something funny happened. I remember the many nights that we stayed up together talking about nothing. I love those moments we have together and I want to have many more. So today I'm asking you," I stopped and breathed in and got down on one knee and pulled out a book shaped like river songs tardis book from doctor who containing the ring because I knew she loved that show, she took it and opened it to see the ring inside and I continued speaking "will you please marry me?" I said looking at her as she was crying. She looked me in the eyes and nodded and said "yes!" She jumped into my arms and kissed me passionately as I heard Luke yell "she said yes!" And everyone Cheered. And that was it, I had a fiancé now.
