"So... What'dya want to do, sis?" Carver asked after we'd been siting in the living room of my suite.
"I'd say read, but that would bore you and I'd be ignorin' you. I'm determined to turn a new leaf. So what would you suggest?" I smiled brightly at him.
"Uhhh, you like video games? I picked up a new zombie before we accepted the case. You interested?" His eyes lit up like fireworks on the fourth of July.
I disliked video games as my ex Enzo was addicted to them. After coming home from work he'd shower and go straight to playing. The device was the cause of an anniversary dinner ruination. One time he was late to my birthday celebration. He didn't show until I remotely switched off our wi-fi by phone. You can imagine I was extremely tempted to tell Carver no. However my conscious won't allow me to dissent.
"Sounds like it could be fun." As soon as I said "fun" he stood to his feet ran out.
I chuckled, removed my shoes, and put on my UGG booties. While waiting on him I decided to text the old man about our new suspect and print.
ME- hey papa-beauh
DAD- how goes it bean-pole
ME- it's going round like a ferris-wheel
DAD- anything new
ME- a print an interesting list on birdie's tablet
DAD- you've been busy
ME- we have
ME- carver hacked culpepper's tablet and accessed her emails from roscoe
DAD- did he read the emails
ME- he didn't have time but he leafed through one
ME- he saw a mention of a love-child, a scarlett glass, M.T.
DAD- my what a reveal and I'm a little offended the diseased hired the trott agency
ME- aud is on a call with her to pump her info
DAD- tell her I appreciate her and she's got permanent job at the agency
ME- she'll be pleased
A few moments later Carver re-entered my suite. Under his arm was video game equipment and games fisted in his right hand.
"Sorry it took so long, it took a bit to find "Zombie Anarchy 3" I also brought "Rolluh Derby 2." Carver walked past me over to the television.
"I bet it did. It's surprising you can find anything in that pigsty of youh's." I gently teased him.
"Funny, sis. What do you think of the games?" Carver placed both games in front of his face.
"They both sound like a hell of a good time. The zombie game is obvious, what's the objective of "Rolluh Derby?" I sat on the coffee table and played with a game controller.
"You play skater characters on a team and you try to knock into rival ones. Only in this you can use weapons to harm the other team." He explained as he hooked up all the wires.
"Both could be fun. But let's play "Rolluh Derby" and then the zombie one." I opened the case to the roller derby game and handed him the CD. I placed the open case on the coffee table beside me.
"You sure you want to play video games, Ray? We can do something else, I won't mind." Carver paused from clicking start.
"I'm sure, it'll be fun. Next time I'll call the shots in what we do." I sent him a wink.
