I awoke to the song, Macarena blaring in my ear. I groggily gripped my hone and accepted the call.
"Helloooh?"
"Heya bean-pole, I got youh text.
"Yeah? Oh! We received the test result from Nosy. It confirmed that Birdie Terpintine is Scarlett Glass."
"Me oh my. Is that the only update you have fouh me?"
"I suspect my two beaus of colludin'. Yet I don't have proof as of now."

I shut my phone off and stepped into the bathroom. After a shower and blow dry I dressed. As I was pulling up my leggings there was a knock on the door. As I went to open the door I pulled on my long sleeved t-shirt. I eyed the peephole and saw one of the female waitstaff.
"Yes?" I pulled open the door.
"A note from Miz Culpepper, miz." She held her hand out and I gave her what cash I had on the bartop.
"Very generous, have a pleasant day, ma'am."
"Thanks." I mumbled, transfixed by the letter.
I closed the door and lowered myself onto the armrest of the couch.
