We entered my room and Audrey settled me in an over stuffed chair. She handed me a laminated menu. I glanced up at her and furrowed my brows.
"I believe it's "lunch time" so orduh some grub, while I change." Aud urged as she slipped out the door.
I dialed the number of the hotel kitchen.
"Hello, how can I aid you?" A friendly male voice spoke on the other end.
"Hi, I'd like two orders of mini cheese sliders, fries, coleslaw, and two creame sodas."
"We'll send up your order in fifteen minutes or so." The server assured and hung up.
By the time I returned the phone to it's cradle the door opened to reveal Culpepper.
"Greetings, Birdie informed me that my sleuths had a tumble. I came to personally appraise your well beings. I hope that's alright?" She took a seat on the couch.
"That's swell of you, but I'm fine and dandy, besides the messed up arm. Have you seen Cuhvuh, though?"
"I did, Dr. Maskeet says C's got a concussion and his forehead needs a couple sutchers. After she's finished she'll be in to see you." Eira patted my shoulder and I noticed she was wearing leather gloves.
There was a knock and Aud went to answer it. She opened the door and Birdie stuck her head in.
"Maskeet is knotting Carver's sutchers as we speak." Birdie announced as she entered my room and stood behind Eira's seat.
"Well, Birdie and I will take our leave so we're out of the way for Dr. Maskeet to work." Culpepper patted my shoulder as she and Birdie rose to their feet.
"Waiit!" I held out a hand.
"Yes, Rayven?"
"I wanted to relay a report on the case."
Eira turned and sat back down.
"We found a larpin' couple that agreed to be wired within their faction events. Which is why we were at the rink."
"I see. I'm pleased with this arrangement and commend your mental prowess. Feel better soon, Rayven." Eira patted my shoulder before taking her leave.

"Will you help me take these layers off, Aud?" I asked after my suit's door had shut.
"Sure. It might hurt though." She warned as she fidgeted with her hands.
Aud helped slide my right arm out and work my head out of sweatshirt. I braced myself as she worked the left sleeve down my arm. Aud paused and returned with a small set of scissors in her left hand.
"Umm, what are the scissouhs fouh, exactly?" I leaned away from her grasp.
"To cut the sleeves off, babes. If I lift the crop top and work youh arms out it'll hurt. Trust me this is the least pain inducing way." Audrey grinned before placing the strap in the scissor's Jaws.
She efficiently snipped both sleeves and past the v-neck collar. Then set the scissors on the coffee table. She pulled the shirt down till it gathered at the my waist of my pants. Thankfully she left my excer-bra on allowing some modesty intact. Afterwards gathered it and the sweat shirt in her arms. She left the living room to place both items onto the bed. Leaving me in the black illumi sport's bra and the sweats of course. I gently placed my arm on the arm rest and caught my breath. Hoping that Dr. Maskeet would arrive and give me some pain relief.
"Do you want me to bring you a sweatuh, so you won't be as exposed?" Aud yelled from the bedroom.
"Yes, but one that buttons, please. I don't want the hassle of wearin' somethin' I have to pull ovuh my body." I answered back as there was a knock on the door.
