Energized from pulling one over Harley, I decided light reading wouldn't hurt. I selected "Google library" and found a notification. It revealed a book titled, "The Alpha's Predicament," sent by Aud Willbro. I roll my eyes at the ceiling before tapping on the image.
Prologue
Alpha Tompkins let out a ferocious growl upon reading the note.
"Alpha, you mustn't transmute here!" Betta Lewis attempted to place a hand on hisAlpha, yet was shrugged off.
"I'm sorry, Alpha yet I can't allow you to transform here as you could harm the patients." Doc Steppen muttered as he grabbed a needle and vile.
"You wouldn't doc!" Gamma Troyer growled.
"I don't have a choice, his wolf will wreck havoc on anything in sight.. Now secure his limbs!"
Not knowing how else to handle the situation, they did as doc commanded. They each pressed their full weight upon alpha's four limbs. Doc pressed the needle into Alpha Sommer's neck, injecting him with Wolfsbane.
"Wolfsbane? What could that be?" I mumbled as I went to my home screen.
I selected "Google," and typed "wolfsbane" in the search.
RESULTS;
What is Wolfsbane? Wolfsbane/Monkshood is a long lived tuber forming herbaceous perennial of the ranunculus family that is most closely related to delphiniums. About 100 species are known with five native to North America.
"Interestin'. I wonder if it's miasmatic?"
I erased the sentence and typed "wolfsbane poisonous" and tapped the enter key.
RESULTS;
The term "wolfsbane" came about because the plant was used to poison wolves in Europe. Monkshood contains several compounds that are toxic to humans, most notably aconitine. Aconitine mainly affects the heart but also affects the nervous system.
"How odious."
I scrolled further down and tapped on the arrow stating; "what does wolfsbane do to humans?"
RESULTS;
One of the most toxic plants that can be found in the UK, the toxins in Wolfsbane can cause a slowing of heart rate which could be fatal, and even eating a very small amount can lead to an upset stomach. Its poison can also act through contact with the skin, particularly through open wounds.
I glanced up at the far wall from my reading to ubsorb all I'd read read. Suddenly the clues fell into place. I picked up my phone and selected messages.

I switched my phone to off and snuggled into the velvety pillows and duvet.

I awoke to Audrey jumping on my bed.
"Good morning sleepy!" She squealed as she landed beside me on her bum.
"Uhhh! Ten more minutes!" I wearily shoved her with my good arm.
"Nope, it's noon already! Oh and Ned made contact!" She ripped my blanket and pillow away from me.
"Of course he did, he's a tough bird."
