"Birdie is Scarlett Glass? No way!" Audrey yanked the results out of my hands.
"The papuh says otherwise, at least accordin' to this included police record. It states that Scarlett Glass was arrested at a party fouh underage drinkin', and possession of pot. Though heuh now diseased mothuh claimed Scarlett didn't do drugs." I shared as Aud continued to scim the report.
"It's so ridiculous that you can be arrested fouh underage drinkin'. It's not like they do any time." Carver rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Yeah well teenagers keep drivin' and attemptin' dangerous stunts unduh the influence. Until that stops, which it nevuh will, there'll be a sent the P.D. If only to lock 'em with adults to scare the shit out of them." I eyed him as he was once arrested for underage drinking.
Yet dad's buddy Sargeant Gleason intercepted him. The hour Carver was there he spent it in one of their interrogation rooms. I remember it vividly as step-monster bragged about it to her friends. Carver glanced away in shame as if he could read my mind.
"Where should we hide this report and the two journals, Ray?" Aud broke in as she balanced both in her arms.
"We'll need to split them between the community lockuhs, and the one at the Lazy Susan. We'll push that task fouh daylight. At this point in time, we've got a bike to pick up." I patted Carver's shoulder.
"It'll be a tight fit on the golf cart, don't you think? Carver anxiously fiddled with a string hanging from his shirt.
"We're not taking the gold cart, as we'll be ridin' the bike back to the Noctua." I straightened and headed towards the door.
"But I can't ride t-." Carver began to whine.
"I know which is why you'll sit in the middle while Audrey and I'll be at eithuh end. You won't have to steeuh ouh pedal." I gave him a kind smile.
"Alright. I trust you both can handle maneuvuhing that thing. Ouh have neithuh of you attempted to ride a tandom?" Carver continued to carp as he followed us into the hall.
"Aud and I drunkenly rode a tandom fouh Vista Drake's bachelorette." I avoided Carver's agape mouth.
"I can't believe you remembuh that, we were so wasted!" Aud giggled beside me.
"It seems my deficiency isn't chivy." Carver mumbled as he trailed behind us.
"Must you forevuh be babied." I twisted my head around.
"I am the baby of the family." He shrugged.
"Only babyin' you'll get is from youh mothuh." I rolled my eyes at him.
We haulted at the room besides mine. As it wasn't wise to stash the file in my room's safe. I hadn't seen anyone come or go so I assumed it was safe.
"Why have we stopped at this room, Rayven?" Carver and Audrey commented as I reached for my credit card from my pocket.
"It's unsafe to stash the file and journals in any of ouh safes. I figured the culprit/murderuh wouldn't suspect to look here."
"How do you know it's unoccupied?' Audrey commented as she stood behind me.
"I've kept an eye on it, and haven't seen anyone come and go, nouh delivuh room service." I slipped the plastic between the door and jam.
"It sounds safe then." Audrey intoned as I wiggled the card between the lock.
It took a few tries, yet I managed to fit my card in and open the door. I caught my card before it fell and entered the room. I flipped the switch and motioned for Audrey and Carver to enter. Carver smartly shut door and joined us in search of the safe. Audrey ended up finding the safe behind the bar teaming with alcohol.
