Oakley looked out the window to see Tate running right into Kayce's outstretched arms, The sight made her heart beat a little faster as Kayce swung Tate around once before setting him down on the ground, while Monica waved from her car before driving off.

They had finished the floors late last night, so this morning Oakley had stayed at the foreman's cabin and cleaned everything. With Tate coming, she knew she wouldn't be able to get any of the cleanings down between him and Kayce running around for the weekend at least.

Jamie had officially called for an investigation into the Department of Agriculture for Montana yesterday at a press conference. But it had been a Friday, and with the weather, the news hadn't reached everyone as fast as Oakley had worried. She hadn't heard anything from anyone and while Kayce told her that was a good thing, Oakley was still worried.

Speaking of, Kayce was right. Last night there was a snowfall of about six inches with more snow predicted over the weekend. They had finished the floors just in time. The road would probably have to wait until the spring now though, while annoying, it wasn't too much of a setback in Oakley's mind.

"Oakley!" Tate called out, running into the cabin.

"Hey there," Oakley smiled from her spot cleaning the dishes from breakfast.

Tate wrapped his arms around Oakley's middle tight. She leaned down and placed a kiss on top of Tate's head before he let go.

"I'm here for two weeks," Tate smiled big up at her.

Kayce walked into the cabin with Tate's bag. Oakey's eyes danced to Kayce before focusing back on the bounding boy in front of her.

"I remember," Oakley laughed. "Whatever will we do with you for that long?"

"Dad said you have a surprised for me," Tate's eyes were wide.

"He did, did he?" Oakley eyed Kayce who shrugged. "Well, we can't go see it today, but if the snow can settle tomorrow then we can make a trip over there."

"A trip huh?" Tate thought. "So it's not here?"

"Nope," Oakey smiled. "It's not here in this cabin."

"Is it a new horse?" Tate looked over his shoulder at his father.

"Tate," Kayce warned.

"I'm just asking!" Tate laughed.

"Get your stuff situation," Kayce tossed Tate his bag.

The boy ran into the bedroom where Oakey had moved around some things for Tate to have a drawer in their dresser for his clothes as well as some room in the closet. She felt Kayce come up and stand beside her as she dried off the last plate.

"Sorry," Kayce smiled. "I just couldn't stop myself from telling him we had something fun planned."

"I just hope he likes it," Oakley placed the towel over the sink's edge. "I don't want him to think it's weird or something."

"Why would he think it's weird?" Kayce asked.

"Because..." Oakley trailed off not sure how to respond.

"Because why?" Kayce pressed.

Oakley took a deep breath.

"Because it's new," She started off. "Because it's a new place, new home...and I'm there."

"Where else would you be?" Kayce asked.

Oakley felt her cheeks blush at the simple question from Kayce as if in his mind, Oakley would be anywhere but with him. She felt so included by his question she almost forgot what she said which started it.
