Oakley dismounted her horse, her boots crunching in the snow, pulling the reigns over and staring at North Camp in front of her. Kayce had been right, it was very run down. But it had potential, and Oakey was going to hold onto that fact for now.

"You wanna live here?" Walked asked as he held out his hand for Oakley's reigns. She handed them over with a smile.

"You have to look at what it could be," She laughed. "Not what it is right now."

"Oaks you're the only person who ever has said that about this place," John laughed, walking up after tying his horse to the tree with the others. Kayce walked behind him as the four of them looked at the house.

It was two stories, with a porch on the front and left side, and stairs leading up to the double front doors. Oakley could see what this place must have been back in the day. The white paint was worn, but the foundation was strong. There were probably about three acres of pasture before the trees started, leading back and up into the mountains. If Oakley tried hard enough she could see the river bed down about three hundred feet from the back door. There was a small red barn off to the left and two corrals on either side of it, enough for a few horses.

Oakley felt Kayce walk up next to her, his hands on his hips.

"You sure, baby?" Kayce asked, his eyes squinting in the sunlight. "It's pretty run down."

"Funny," Oakley started to walk towards the house, glancing over her shoulder. "That's what people said about you to me, Dutton."

Kayce rolled his eyes but followed Oakley up the stairs and into the house. It was dusty, the room feeling thick from not being aired out in a long time. But Oakley walked through, looking into the first living room, which led into a small dining room. Then they could walk into the main living room that opened up into a full kitchen. The back wall was almost completely windows. There was one bedroom on the first floor to the right of the main living room.

Oakley looked around the room, which had a bathroom connected to it. Kayce came up beside her.

"Tate would approve," Oakley smiled making Kayce chuckle. "Come on, let's see upstairs."

Once up the stairs, there was a bedroom off to the right, similar to the one downstairs with a bathroom attached to it. Then there was another den or office room, followed by the main bedroom and bath at the end of the hallway. It was spacious and had an amazing view of the mountains from inside next to the shower and tub.

"Imagine showering with that as your view," Oakley whispered looking out the windows.

"Imagine making love with that as your view," Kayce smirked from where he was leaning against the wall behind Oakley. She looked back and snorted.

"Oh really," Oakley raised her eyebrow. "That's what you'd be looking at?"

"Be even prettier with you riding me," Kayce mumbled. Oakley swatted his arm.

"Your father is downstairs," You snapped.

"He's actually here," John's voice carried into the bathroom, making Kayce's whole face turn beat red and Oakley howl with laughter.

"It needs work," Oakley said once everyone was back outside. "But I think we could have this done by late spring."

"The winter months will hurt us," Kayce shrugged. "We probably only have a few weeks left until the first major snow dump."

"Think we could do the floors at least by then?" Oakley looked at John. "If I have good floors I can do almost everything else inside with the heat and fire."
